The eleventh annual Beauty Ball was held at the Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park to raise funds for the Beauty Foundation for Cancer Care—established in 2007 with the mission to alleviate burdens on families faced with a cancer diagnosis.

Over $300,000 was raised by 300 attendees—the funds going towards childcare, groceries, meals, housecleaning, and other expenses that are often issues for cancer-stricken families. The Foundation has supported over 1,000 families from all across the United States, providing financial grants, meals, supermarket gift cards, gas cards, and transportation costs. Educational services and emotional support are also provided when needed.

Founding member of KISS and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Peter Criss (a survivor of male breast cancer and advocate for its early detection) performed.

Holt Construction Corp., longtime supporters of the Beauty Foundation, received its 2017 Diamond Award of Philanthropy. Jack & Patricia Holt and Chris & Darice Asaro accepted the award on behalf of Holt Construction Corp.
