Vite, Givenchy!
While most makeup brands prefer to play to the gallery, Givenchy went with a powerful backstory for its spring summer makeup line. The brainchild of the company’s Creative Director of Makeup, Nicolas Degennes, the collection pays homage to the house’s haute couture range. The result was an unusual palette for spring, with rich muted mattes in colors like berry, teal, chocolate, charcoal, coral, and white. The limited edition line, one that’s sure to fly off the shelves, features eye shadow quartets, mattifying sticks, highlighters, and eye pencils all in creamy, luxurious textures and exquisite packaging.

Burch’s preppy chic
It’s hard to tell from designer Tory Burch’s signature logo bags and sandals which are now in just about every fashionista’s closet that hers is, in fact, a fairly new brand, with its inception in early 2004. Initially known as Tory by TRB, the woman behind the label changed it to a more plainly stated eponymous moniker, and right from the onset, her spirit endeavored to create not just an accessible price point, but also a clean American aesthetic with terrific craftsmanship and rich details. A winner of many industry nods, such as the Rising Star Award from the Fashion Group International, the brand finds identity in the designer’s real life, spiced as it is by culture and travel. Sophisticated pieces with an air of whimsy make the brand fun and wearable.
