THE YARD AT HARBOR FITNESS
Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Harbor Fitness of Bay Ridge recently unveiled its newest addition, The Yard, described by the gym as “Brooklyn’s only outdoor exercise area in a fitness facility.” Workout stations and other amenities include 30 yards of Astroturf, tires for flipping, agility ladders, and a Rogue squat stand. For us, the experience culminates in the lateral rock climbing wall, which combines both fun and the acquisition of terrific techniques that can be applied in real climbs. 9215 4th Avenue, harborfitness.com
