A new cut for this gentleman barber
After owning and operating Evil Fades Barbershop in Millstone since 2011, Andrew Evilsizor has expanded his “true gentlemen’s club” concept to Red Bank. Located on Monmouth Street, Evilsizor’s shop offers luxury cuts, shaves, and an awesomely guy (and gal) friendly atmosphere. Evilsizor, who picked up his first pair of clippers at 13 and instantly found his passion, started cutting friends’ hair in a garage while building a following. Today, he focuses on maintaining old fashioned techniques in a modern age, including our fave, the “steam shave.” 30 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, evilfades.com

AN IRON CHEF HEATS UP THE BORGATA
For the past six months, Iron Chef America winner and celebrity chef Michael Symon has been serving his own personal ode to Italian food at Angeline in the Borgata. Offering simple, bold, and fresh takes on classics, his spacious kitchen features a menu of staples like linguine and clams and home style lasagna, alongside a variety of wood fi red meats and seafood. The Chew cohost designed a menu replete with nostalgia (every meal is somehow tied to his Sicilian heritage) and one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, not surprisingly, is his mother Angeline’s Sunday sauce. Reservations are not required, but recommended, especially on the weekends.

Gallic fare finds a Princeton home
A fresh dining experience has debuted at the former Princeton “Dinky” rail station, joining The Dinky Bar and Grill, which opened in the former passenger waiting room last year. The French inspired Cargot Brasserie now offers another alternative for diners in the city’s walkable downtown. Situated across the street from the McCarter Theatre Center, the eatery offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch, and combines classic dishes with contemporary interpretations in several distinct dining spaces (café room, formal dining room, private room, and outdoor patio). 98 University Place, cargotbrasserie.com
