Eye On The Horizon
Despite being 84, Karl Lagerfeld keeps demonstrating that he’s not afraid of technology or the future. For Fendi’s spring 2018 collection, and in his ongoing role as the creative director of the Rome based fashion legend, Lagerfeld produced a vision marked by triangular shoulders, structured lines, and transparent fabrics. There was also a witty dose of Italian futurism, albiet with a touch of cheer and tropical flair; the collection played with transparency, tactile geometry, soft leather, stripes, ferns, and wispy florals. The unexpected interplay of styles and textures was a heady mix of The Matrix and the Mediterranean.

Hippie chicks and boho spirits rejoice! 1960s psychedelic tie dye is back (though in fact, the earliest examples date from 500 AD in pre Columbian Peru), except in 2018, it’s recycled with ultra luxe finishes.
