Eli Manning’s Hoboken condo offers luxurious amenities and sweeping views

by Jessica Jones Gorman

Owned by New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning for eight years, this stunning waterfront condo—created by combining three prime units spanning the southeast corner of the renowned Hudson Tea Building—is now available for sale or rent.

Offering a distinctive floor plan with more than 3,500 square feet of luxurious living and breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the New York City skyline, the three-bedroom, four bathroom property features a main living area combining living, dining, and family rooms. The master wing offers eastern views from the main bedroom and adjacent study. The guest wing includes two bedrooms, a playroom/office, two full bathrooms and a laundry center.

The gourmet kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line Sub-Zero and Wolf as well as Thermador appliances, surrounded by custom cabinetry accented with dark grey-honed limestone countertops. Features include Antique Tobacco Barn Oak flooring reclaimed from a church in North Carolina; 13-foot ceilings emphasizing beautiful Antique Mushroom wood; and a Crestron Home Automation System.

The building was originally the Lipton Tea factory, but in the late 1990s was converted into residential rentals. In 2004, Toll Brothers purchased the property and converted both buildings into luxury condos. Along with a rich history, the Hudson Tea Building, rechristened 1400 Hudson Street at Hudson Tea, features lofted ceilings with exposed beams and 10-foot by 12-foot picture windows with breathtaking views.

The result is a pet-friendly complex that consists of two large side-by-side buildings in Uptown Hoboken, located at 1500 Washington Street and 1500 Hudson Street. Amenities include a prime site directly on Hoboken Cove, a scenic promenade on the Hudson River waterfront, on-site parking, fully equipped fitness center, resident’s club, children’s playroom, business center with an executive conference room, computer station, copy and fax services, complimentary shuttle service to the PATH train, walking distance to ferries, on-site gourmet cafe with room service, valet and housekeeping services, and lobbies attended 24 hours a day. Common space design is highlighted by polished concrete, rolled metals, wired glass, and rich fabrics, complemented by modern detailing.

In addition to Manning, it has been home to other famous faces. Former New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine currently resides there and the building was used as a residence by actress Mischa Barton when she filmed 2009’s Assassination of a High School President in nearby Bayonne.
