Hundreds of happy women flocked to the Turf Club at Monmouth Park Racetrack on the evening of August 14th to attend Handbags for Hope. The event benefitted the Ronald McDonald House of Northern and Central New Jersey, and its ongoing mission “to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.”

More than 300 handbags were auctioned, while attendees enjoyed cocktails and fine fare. Co Chairs Michael Littman and Sherri Moskowitz spoke of the importance of giving to the Ronald McDonald House (which was founded in 1974), and honoured the late Barbara Littman, who founded the Handbags for Hope event. Honorary Chairperson and Hall of Fame Rutgers Women’s Basketball Coach C. Vivian Stringer motivated the crowd by discussing her “handbag fetish” and the importance of giving back to the community.
