Brunello Cucinelli, whose brand is designed and made in a 14th century castle in Solomeo, italy, has helped define what being a fashionable modern man means

by larry garmany

Italian craftsman Brunello Cucinelli calls the countryside of Umbria, Italy his home. That home was the inspiration for the vibrant, colorful, luxurious cashmere that has since made him famous. Cucinelli’s company currently operates out of a stunning, restored 14th century castle in Solomeo that Brunello restored, along with the entire village around it. Now a long way from cashmere, the line has developed into a high-end, luxury brand for men and women, including shoes and accessories.

Company described as “…a refined journey into tailoring elegance,” Cucinelli’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 line is all about renewed tailoring and style, with an espirit of travel and discovery. Spicy hues, attention to details, and calibrated, light layering are the main events. Earthy colors portray western influences and far off land inspirations. Timeless yet modern, classic but fresh, Cucinelli’s new men’s line is our favorite yet. Vests of all sorts, from lightweight bubbles to textile classics layer over Cucinelli’s perfectly-tailored shirts—and ribbed knit layering in springtime suits hits the mark particularly. Neutral shades of oatmeal, cocoa, and chestnut pair handsomely with blues and grays—ranging from navy to baby—and charcoal to heather. The overall line is crisp, masculine, tailored, and au courant.

Patterned fabrics from plaids to tweeds keep the line classic, while rolled ankle pants and tighter-fitting silhouettes provide more contemporary touches. The Western and heritage styles are perfectly paired with pieces such as the brand’s biker jacket and bubble vest. Men of many ages can find beauty in the new line of—from trendy youngsters to established gentlemen, his timeless look caters all. We are thrilled to offer our Garmany customers Brunello Cucinelli’s new Spring/Summer 2015 line.
