Women have tried to achieve longer eyelashes for centuries using curlers, plumping mascaras, sticky glues, and even more primitive means to capture a naturally glamorous lash line. But when extensions entered the picture several years ago, a semi-permanent length with little to no fuss was finally attainable. Now, a Wyckoff-based studio is bringing this salon service to several more New Jersey locations.

Founded in 2010, Amazing Lash Studio is specifically dedicated to eyelash extensions, employing a team who has professionally applied thousands of sets throughout their careers, and personally selecting stylists who then study under its staff of master trainers. The business is rapidly expanding, with four more locations set to open in Montclair, Rockaway, Wayne, and Westfield.

On offer are four different types of lashes: Gorgeous, which is a blend of longer, thicker lashes spread across the entire lash line to provide “the ultimate bombshell look;” Natural, which adds length that follows the contours of the existing lash line to enhance the natural beauty of eyes; Sexy, which adds an extra flirtatious flare at the outer corners of eyes; and Cute, which adds length to the center of lashes to make eyes appear longer.

All extensions are synthetic, but made to replicate a natural lash. Single strands are applied to individual eyelashes, one by one, and last from four to eight weeks (a “fill” is recommended every two to four weeks, depending on activity and routines).

The application process normally takes about 90 to 120 minutes for a full set, 45 to 60 minutes for a refill. The company compares the experience to a spa treatment, as clients lay on a massage table surrounded by relaxing and ambient music. The extensions will be then applied to upper lashes one at a time.

thicknesses to naturally enhance existing lashes, transforming them into something amazing. Better yet, mascara is not required, since extensions actually give the illusion of wearing it.”

In addition to synthetic extensions, Amazing Lash also offers a variety of specialty extensions: Volume lashes are lighter, _ u_ er and give a fuller look, and Solid Color and Two-Toned lashes come in red, blue, green, or purple.

Regularly priced at $250, the studio is currently offering a first set of lashes for $79.
