VALENTINO’S ROCKSTUD COLLECTION SHINES ANEW!

BY KIMBERLY LANDAU

After almost fifty years of being the creative light for his eponymous fashion label one that has been an icon of sophistication since Jacqueline Kennedy ordered six of its haute couture dresses in 1964, all in black and white Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani retired in 2008. He left spiritual direction to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, and the latter now holds the creative director title. Clothing, shoes, and bags continue to ll new lines, but the last decade has seen some Piccioli boundary pushing. One of his modern touches is Valentino’s Rockstud line, which combines street smarts with couture kicks. CoCo Parì carries the best of this collection.
