The dandy detour of Etro
Known for an eclectic and worldly mix of patterns and textures, Etro an Italian fashion house founded in Milan in 1968 also brings a vintage theme to each collection. This fall, its runway show, appropriately called “Dandy Detour” (by designer Kean Etro), was held at a former ice skating rink and decorated with vintage furniture rugs and items like motorcycles and pinball machines just for a bit of whimsy. The collection was appropriately playful, with checks, paisley, velvet, corduroy, and no shortage of embroidery. Just think of it as an even cooler and ultra mod take on the ’70s.
