The American Red Cross held its annual fundraising gala at the Eagle Oakes Country Club in Farmingdale, where awards were given to outstanding members of the community whose service has been instrumental in helping fulfill the Red Cross mission. Honorees included Yvette and Tom Bonfiglio of Tommy’s Tavern and Tap in Sea Bright, as well as Allyson Gilbert, while HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospitals received the Clara Barton Award.

Longtime supporters of the Red Cross, the Bonfiglio family is passionate about serving its communities. It has hosted numerous blood drives, and is an avid supporter of disaster relief, donating time and resources to help the Red Cross stay ready to assist families devastated by disasters, big and small.

Since joining the Red Cross Board of Directors six years ago, Allyson Gilbert of Shrewsbury has been a devoted ambassador of the organization’s mission.

In alignment with their cause of helping patients restore strength and resume activities of daily living, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospitals have hosted numerous blood drives at both of its locations to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available for patients in need.
