FOUR KEY RUNWAY TRENDS TO KEEP YOUR NEW-SEASON STYLE SIZZLING
BY KIMBERLY LANDAU
While it may not feel that way outside along the Jersey Shore at the moment, inside CoCo Parì, coveted spring trends are in full bloom.
The first signs of spring for me are the fashion shows I attend annually in New York City; this year’s were especially exhilarating, and I am pleased to unveil their latest trends for you.
RUFFLES & LACE
Floral prints with flowing ruffles and feminine lace, from lines such as Nancy Zimmermann, Self Portrait, and Alexis, are particularly beautiful. Zimmermann’s spring delivery offers feminine and flirty floral dresses, rompers, and jumpsuits perfect for traveling, while Self Portrait’s asymmetrical necklines, hemlines, and ruffles offer a modern twist to dresses and are the perfect attire for weddings, parties, and May events. Alexis, as always, has designed gorgeous lace dresses, jumpsuits, and separates with geometric prints and ruffles—perfect for nearly any occasion.
These are very stylish this season. For the softer more feminine days, there’s nude, powder pink, mint green, and powder blue. Cushnie et Ochs spring collection offers the soft feminine hue, dusty rose, in dresses and high waisted wide-leg pants with ruffles (styled with a matching silk ruffle top). This look is chic and feminine, perfect for a night out or a special event. Meanwhile, IRO designs perfect leather jackets to sport on a crisp evening. Its baby blue and soft nude leather jackets look elevated when styled with beautiful printed scarves from Alexander McQueen, along with distressed L’Agence jeans and a pointed toe pump from Gianvito Rossi.
Going clear this spring? Gianvito Rossi’s classic “Plexi Pump,” paired with petal pink python, is a stunning high heel to style
with jeans or a Herve Leger dress. Christian Louboutin has several sandals and pumps with PVC elements, too, such as the “Nosy Spikes” in black patent, nude leather, or gold metallic.
FLATS, SLIDES, MULES, AND SNEAKERS
Fashionistas also appreciate comfort, so it appears that easy-wear shoes are here to stay. Feet can relax while looking chic in the Valentino sneaker, Christian Louboutin “Loubitag” mule, Saint Laurent espadrilles, or stylish jewel-embellished at sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti.
And men can feel just as stylish! Our shoppers will find new, comfortable sneakers from Gianvito Rossi, edgy Giuseppe Zanotti mid-tops, cool Alexander McQueen espadrilles, and chic Jimmy Choo loafers, and we’ll soon also offer Christian Louboutin shoes for the fellas!
