On April, 22, 2012, St. Clare Preschool held their 11th annual fundraising-fashion show in the gym of the Cardinal Cooke Center. The rain didn’t stop this wonderful event and it was an exciting day for all. With a western inspired theme, titled “Rodeo Runway”. The 3, 4 and 5 year old Preschoolers galloped down the ranch style catwalk leaving parents smiling and snapping photos as if they were the paparazzi.
This year St. Clare Preschool had their largest amount of prizes raffled away at this fabulous event. The look on the winner’s faces was just as priceless as the children when they saw the giant horse and cowboy balloons throughout the gym, created by Paula Pucciarelli, The Balloon Boutique.
Gourmet food by the famous Portobello Café, a nearby restaurant prepared a feast for Rodeo Runway leaving close to 500 guests stuffed, until they hit the dessert line soon after.
Julie McDonald, the director of St. Clare Preschool was overly pleased with the parents who volunteered coordinating this huge event. She couldn’t thank the Fashion Show Chair Person, Margaret Rizzo and her committee enough for the dedication in planning this spectacular event. She was especially thankful for the local stores and businesses who so willingly donated to the Parish.
Another great day in Great Kills. The photos tell it all.
