VERTICAL LINES
From casual sport shirts to full-fledged striped suits, straight lines take a 90 degree turn this season. With upgraded fabrics, streamlined silhouettes, and luxe details along for the ride, the stripe is in stride! A plethora of options took the runway, like matching suits and unexpected color concepts from luxury designers around the world. Todd Snyder’s casual wear, for example (middle photo), included striped pullover sweaters, casual matching tops and bottoms, and of course, track suits. Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani (right) offered an eclectic striped suit in a sea of impeccable textures and fitted suits that walked the runway. And at Prada, where utilitarian styles are all the rage, trousers with paper bag waists (left) were paired with likeminded colored striped cardigans.
