How did you get started modeling?
When I was 12. My mom knew I was interested in fashion; I’d dress up and pretend I was in a runway show for her and all her friends [laughs]. When I was old enough to take it more seriously, I went to visit a few agencies and was signed to NEXT Management. From then on, it’s been a journey!
Tell us about some gigs.
I’ve worked with amazing brands. Guess, Marciano, Levi’s, La Senza, Nike…Beach Bunny. I’ve also starred in Old Navy commercials.
How does your background influence your look?
I certainly have an exotic look, and that definitely helps me land jobs. I can pass for a lot of different ethnicities.
What else is going on in your career?
I’ve been modeling my whole life, but have had so many amazing jobs and opportunities that led me in all kinds of directions. I had three seasons on the TV show WAGS LA on the E! Network. I started my own swimwear line called Nia Lynn, launched in December of last year, which is doing amazingly well. I love owning my own business, and eventually want Nia Lynn to be available in high-end department stores, and am looking to develop a vegan friendly skin care collection. Lastly, I’m working on building a YouTube fitness channel with my trainer, Mario, to help everyone who feels like they don’t know where to start or has no time to work out. I just want to be an all-around positive influence on my fans and followers.
What are a few of your favorite things?
My two frenchies [French Bulldogs], vegan chicken, and waffles…oh, and popcorn with jalapeños, and going to the movies. And my husband, too!
How would you describe your look in three words?
Casual, sexy, and street.
… and your personality in three words?
Kind, loyal, and generous.
