Blues Traveler, Marc Anthony, and a 1980s tribute concert are just a few Garden State gigs to look forward to

In ways both good and bad, there was no era like the ’80s, and Jessie’s Girl, a team of New York City rock and pop vocalists, is taking the stage at the Count Basie Theatre on February 2 to prove…both extremes. The group, which has mastered renditions of the decade’s most popular songs while dressed as some of its most pivotal musical artists (like Bon Jovi, Cindi Lauper, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Prince) puts on a thoroughly entertaining “Back to the ’80s” show, complete with neon, leg warmers and extra hairspray, of course.

Featuring Jenna O’Gara, O Broadway’s Chris Hall, and renowned Sting impersonator Mark Rinzel, the show also offers frequent appearances by Constantine Maroulis, the Tony nominated star of Rock of Ages and an American Idol finalist. They are backed by a band comprised of 20 plus year veterans of the areas’ music scenes: Eric Presti on guitar, Sky on keys, Drew Mortali on bass, and Michael Maenza on drums.

Tickets for this event, which starts at 8 P.M., range from $15 to $35.
