AN SUV THAT COMPLETELY CHANGED THE GAME WHEN IT FIRST HIT THE STREETS IN 1963, THE WAGONEER (AND ITS SUCCESSOR THE GRAND WAGONEER) ARE EXPERIENCING A REBIRTH IN 2021 WITH THIS JAWDROPPING NEW CONCEPT

All it takes is a single drive down any American highway to come across one inevitable conclusion: SUVs are here to stay. In fact, the sports utility vehicle has seen a steady increase in popularity since the 1990s. According to articles published on statista.com, car manufacturers have enjoyed a near six fold increase in SUV demand since 2010, with SUVs representing one third of all vehicles sold worldwide between January and June of 2019. Naturally with this sharp increase in demand, luxury automakers quickly took note; major high end power player Bentley launched its first ever SUV, the Bentayga Range, in 2015, and Rolls Royce was not far behind with the 2019 debut of the Cullinan.

In an effort to capitalize on the increasing demand for luxury high riders, as well as the growing sense of nostalgia permeating the zeitgeist, Jeep has officially announced their new luxury concept, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Based on their nameplate counterparts that were released in 1963 and 1984, respectively, these new models are slated for production in summer 2021. The electrifying design is overwhelmingly more luxurious than the Compass or Cherokee, with glossy chrome trim, intricate lighting throughout, elegant interior details akin to Mercedes Benz and BMW, and a precious third row of seating. Massive 24 inch obsidian finished wheels result in an unparalleled drive, and a full length glass roof offers spectacular views of the outdoor landscapes. The interior is equipped with a total of 45 inches of digital display surface, including a 12.1 inch center touchscreen and a unique 10.25 inch passenger display.
