Presented by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and coproduced by Novità Communications, a BKLYN DESIGNS event kicked off the first weekend of NYCxDESIGN—the
official citywide celebration of design. The show attracted designers, buyers, vendors, and the
general public—its goal to connect the local design community with larger business opportunities, and its exhibitors selected from a jury of industry experts. The BKLYN BUYS marketplace, a curated shopping section, was filled with jewelry, ceramic objects, and accessories, while The Connected Home,
an immersive exhibit designed by Brooklyn-based interior designer Gunnar Larson, explored smart home design solutions with featured products from AJ Madison and ConEdison. The VIP room (seen below) was furnished by Brooklyn based designer Angel Naula, whose work was also seen hanging from the rafters.
