ONLY FIVE YEARS AFTER LOUIS VUITTON ENTERED THE SMARTWATCH ARENA, THE LUXURY DESIGNER PRESENTS A STUNNING NEW ADDITION TO THE “CONNECTED” SERIES AND IT JUST MIGHT BE THE BRAND’S MOST IMPRESSIVE FEAT YET

While tech kings like Apple and Samsung favor smart watch designs that are clean and minimal, Louis Vuitton understands that the brand is, first and foremost, a fashion company. It is in that vein that the legendary house introduces its newest smart watch, the Tambour Horizon Light Up. The brilliant new design one that recreates LV’s debut timepiece circa 2002 can easily be mistaken for an actual watch.

Upon closer inspection, however, the T.H. Light Up is anything but. The rounded edge-to-edge screen dazzles with a rainbow bezel, lit by the brilliance of two dozen LED lights. Powered by a Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor, the timepiece is fully compatible with the wearer’s choice of smartphone (AndroidOS, iOS, and HarmonyOS) via its multi-platform app. It can do just about anything an Apple or Samsung can do, from swapping between elaborate watch faces to reading your heart rate, and can even pull off some neat tricks of its own, like tracking the logistics of a trip or offering guidebooks for key cities. Even though it’s priced firmly above its average competitor, LV knows that its brand is synonymous with luxe designs that have long been worth the price of admission
