IN AN HISTORIC MEETING OF FIRSTS, THE WORLD’S PREMIER DIOR SPA OPENS WITHIN CHEVAL BLANC, LUXURY FRENCH BRAND LVMH’S DEBUT PARIS HOTEL

BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE

For Christian Dior’s introduction into the world of luxury wellness, the setting couldn’t have been more extravagant. Perched over Paris’ famed Seine River, embracing vistas of iconic structures like the Louvre and Eiffel Tower, LVMH’s first hotel Cheval Blanc is one of the most anticipated hospitality launches of the decade. Housed within the storied walls of this sparkling new resort (converted from an historic Art Deco building) is Dior’s bespoke spa or as the brand promises, “A haven of serenity offering total immersion in the world of the House of Dior.” Designed by the poster child of Parisian architecture, Peter Marino, the oasis reflects the interiors of a chic Parisian flat, where deep-pocketed patrons are welcomed by a dazzling Dior gallery, featuring a menagerie of the house’s ultra-luxurious products, and are then led to a sitting room anchored by a mammoth replace under a larger-than-life mirror that transforms into a screen to showcase Dior’s latest runway shows. Outfitted with a grand white onyx bathroom, each of the six treatment suites boast unique décor that evokes a range of emotions. Sensory Choreography, Precious Energy, and Couture Dreams are amongst some of the high-end treatments on the menu. But the pièce de résistance? A Happiness Shot, which the spa describes as “30 or 45-minute bursts of pleasure and performance.” It’s a true boost de joie from one of the world’s leading fashion houses, where couture and wellness collide.
