Over the past decade, a sea of ultra-premium brands, from storied couture houses to supercar marques, have crossed into the lifestyle space, many tapping high-end developers to put their monikers on ambitious and wildly lavish residential projects in the world’s leading cities. Such partnerships are gaining popularity, as they offer several symbiotic benefits buzz and publicity for development groups, and as for big-name labels, a chance to expand their client reach and leave their mark on something that tends to far outlast clothing or cars.

In such projects, each new tower embodies the spirit of the brand in some way – the Aston Martin Homes at Manhattan’s 130 Williams, for example, were furnished with pieces from the Aston Martin Home Collection and sold with a custom DBX (featured in INDUSTRY, November/ December 2021), while the DAMAC Just Cavalli villas in Dubai feature the Italian fashion designer’s signature animals prints and earthy tones throughout the interior wall coverings and exterior stonework. One of the most recent crossover collaborations to take shape in the red-hot Miami market (where there are currently dozens of 500-foot-plus super towers under construction) is the upcoming 75-foot high-rise from real estate titans Related Group, global luxury hotel group SH Hotels & Resorts, and fine French crystal maker Baccarat. This is the crystal house’s second residential project after Baccarat Residences on 53rd Street in Manhattan.

Set to rise at the gateway of Brickell Avenue, taking residence on one of the last waterfront sites where Miami River meets Biscayne Bay, Baccarat Residences will span 318 ultra-swanky addresses plus eight extravagant penthouses and 28 riverfront flats and duplexes. Sweeping views of Miami River, Biscayne Bay, and the glittering cityscape will pour into each home, designed by an A-team of architects and designers from Arquitectonica, Meyer Davis Studio, and Enzo Enea.

Accents from the 250-year-old legendary crystal maison will, of course, radiate from every angle. The undulating, all-glass facade was designed to emulate a crystal sparkling in the sun, reflecting the soft blue waters below. Inside, residences are topped off with handcrafted Baccarat chandeliers, and world-renowned New York City-based designer Meyer Davis blends classic 18th century French design with fresh, contemporary elements for an air of laid-back glamour, a hallmark of the South Florida lifestyle.

The homes range in size from 1,330 to 7,000-plus square feet, and are offered in one, two, three, and four-bedroom configurations. Each residence is accessible by a private key-activated elevator, opening to a spacious, flow-through floor plan flanked by energy efficient, impact-resistant floor-to-ceiling doors and windows that slide open to fill the space with the salty ocean air. Every residence is outfitted with a private terrace accessible via both the living and bedroom, while corner units boast wraparound terraces. Transparent glass railings ensure views are never interrupted.

The interior design is refreshingly poised and unmistakably opulent, comprising open-concept kitchens with double-waterfall stone islands, custom Italian cabinetry, and appliances by Sub-Zero and Wolf. Master suites include generous spa bathrooms with deep standalone tubs and frameless glass-enclosed rain showers, imported stone vanity tops, and double lavatories. Separate his-and-her walk-in wardrobes fitted with rich Italian cabinetry round out the suite. Each home also comes equipped with DARWIN by Delos, a home wellness intelligence network designed to enhance sleep, air quality, and overall well-being.

The long list of amenities dazzles in both finish and scope, encompassing everything from a private screening room with theater-style seating to a dedicated pet spa with grooming and walking services. A long, lushly landscaped and ultra-private entrance leads to the riverfront arrival court, opening to the receiving lobby with high ceilings and stunning dressings. Here, and throughout the common areas, the design blends three periods: 18th century French luxury, 1930s Miami Art Deco, and 21st century prestige. Sumptuous juxtapositions are peppered throughout; massive Baccarat chandeliers sparkle over patterned wooden floors, while thick, floor-to-ceiling curtains add a sense of old-world grandeur. Ornate motifs are offset with minimalist furniture. Six-foot crystal candelabras assist the state-of-the-art smart lighting. Pops of signature Baccarat red inject an otherwise monochromatic palette with seductive color

Altitude Fitness spearheaded the state-of-the-art fitness center, featuring a cardio theater, spinning room, yoga studio, and meditation room, all overlooking the spacious 12th floor pool deck. There’s also an Hamman spa with steam and sauna facilities, treatment rooms, and spa shop. The outdoor resort deck boasts a heated saline swimming pool, outdoor spa, pool-side cabanas, summer kitchen area, and sun terrace. Additional hubs include a Grand Salon for private gatherings, clubroom with bar and billiards, game room, children’s playroom, gourmet market, hair and barber salon, and an exceedingly romantic wine cellar and tasting room with custom Baccarat lighting. In addition to several white glove services – child care, overnight residential maintenance, travel coordination, grocery delivery, and more are all on tap – residents are also granted access to the tower’s “house yacht” via the on-site marina.

The property’s public spaces are also dressed in a permanent art installation, featuring hand-curated pieces from global masters such as Julio Le Parc, Pavel Acosta, Anthony Goicolea, Eugenio Ampudia, Gene Davis, and Pierre Gonnord.

Prices begin at $1.5 million for one-bedroom residences. Completion is currently slated for 2025.
