Think big, shop small

For those in need of a wardrobe rethink, a 55,000-square-foot retail emporium recently debuted on American Dream’s third level. Cheekily named The ADdress, the fashion mecca houses everything from luxe apparel to footwear, jewelry, and home goods, featuring some of the world’s most sought-after “modest” brands. Inside, a fl eet of lesser known labels and small businesses with a homespun approach to fashion fl ourish under one roof. Look for fresh pop-ups, interactive styling sessions, and designer appearances. A few of the many standouts include the sustainability-minded luxury resale brand ReRun; Impact Fashion, a body-inclusive one-stop style shop; and Soliani, a multi-generational shoemaker from Milan that brings handmade Italian stunners to the discerning shopper. Located right next door, Noa is a bespoke jewelry brand with serious fan power; devotees include Hilary Duff and Kylie Jenner.

ART WATCH

Anyone who strolled Manhattan’s Meatpacking District in 2022 most likely glimpsed the El Toro de Oro, a dramatic $1 million bronze sculpture by Enrique Cabrera, but the famed Mexican sculptor’s art reaches far beyond bulls. From stately horses to abstract skulls and cubist-inspired apples, this Veracruz-born mixed-metal extraordinaire has showcased works in the world’s most iconic locations, from the Louvre and the Met to Museum Picasso De Antibes and more. This season, American Dream will be the exclusive venue for four of Cabrera’s master works, on display in the center’s luxury retail and dining wing. Titled “American Dream by Enrique Cabrera,” the installations include the debut of the Titanium Horse, plus El Toro de Oro, the iconic bronze bull that made international headlines last year, Platinum Bull, and Palmarius, a mixed-metal skull that once graced the ground-fl oor of the Rockefeller Center, highlighting Cabrera’s talent and identity as a creator.
