WITH THE GIFTING SEASON APPROACHING, THE SHREWSBURY SHOPPING SCENE IS REACHING HAUTE NEW HEIGHTS WITH THE DEBUT OF BLOOMIE’S, A CHIC ELEVATED FASHION CONCEPT FROM LUXURY RETAIL GIANT BLOOMINGDALE’S

BY JACKLYN PELLEGRINO

In 2021, Bloomingdale’s made headlines with the launch of the first-ever Bloomie’s in Fairfax, Virginia. Set in a far smaller footprint than the traditional department store format, the boutique-style formula was designed to offer a more intimate, immersive shopping experience, with curated assortments tailored to the local customer. The concept took off, and soon a second location opened in the suburbs of Chicago followed by the brand’s first-ever physical store in Seattle. Its curated collections and boutique-style, along with an elevated customer experience rooted in incredible service, reflect what Bloomingdale’s is known for.

This November, the Garden State welcomed the country’s fourth Bloomie’s installment, located in The Grove at Shrewsbury. Bloomie’s Shrewsbury is the first of the four locations to exclusively feature women’s collections as well as a grab-and-go version of the company’s iconic Forty Carrots (and yes, that means its famous frozen yogurt!).

“Our local Bloomingdale’s customer historically needed to drive 45+ minutes to have the opportunity to shop in one of our bigger footprint stores, and now Bloomie’s Shrewsbury is providing them with a very convenient, easy-to-shop format store that features their favorites right in their own backyard,” said Sarah Reinertsen-DiMare, manager of The Grove location. “We are complementing our Metropolitan-area Bloomingdale’s stores with an elevated and convenient option, which is changing the way our local clients experience fashion and shopping.”

The new location is stacked with stylish finds, with new inventory debuting every week.

INVESTORS SPREAD

Brands include contemporary clothing labels like Alice + Olivia, Veronica Beard, Rag & Bone, L’Agence, and AQUA, as well as fine jewelry from Roberto Coin, Temple St Clair, and Pre-Owned Rolex. The store also features beauty and fragrances from coveted brands such as Parfums de Marly, MFK, Sisley, and Chanel, plus shoes from Veronica Beard, Schutz, HOKA, UGG, and more.

There’s also a Forty Carrots café on-site, a Bloomingdale’s signature offering their iconic frozen yogurt, specialty coffee drinks, juices, and grab-and-go food items such as their classic salads and sandwiches.

“Opening night was an iconic moment in fashion for our local community,” noted Reinertsen-DiMare. The event featured electric violins, a red carpet, local influencers, frozen hot chocolate, local treats, and a spectacular winter village.

“This is an amazing time of year to open,” she continued. “We are featuring the best of holiday with must-have core and of-the-moment items from all of our collections. We are really excited to be our community’s go-to destination for shopping, and our talented team of stylists is here to help make every shopping experience special. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new space and bring a fresh, stylish, and elevated experience to our community this holiday season and beyond.”
