PORSCHE’S ROYAL FALCON ONE IS A MASTERCLASS IN CROSS PLATFORM BRANDING

Since 1931, Porsche has designed and manufactured some the most legendary sports cars on the planet from the iconic 911 to the Boxster and Carrera to the new class of Macan crossovers. Its celebrity clientele could fill a volume, and includes Miley Cyrus (Cayenne GTS), Tom Cruise (911), Gwen Stefani (Panamera), and Jerry Seinfeld, who’s been quoted as saying that the most favored car in his massive collection is a 1958 Speedster Carrera.
Now, after nearly 90 years of craftsmanship, the Stuttgart based maker is taking its design chops onto the open seas. In the footsteps of other notable car brands that have gone aquatic (Lexus, Ferrari, Mercedes, even Toyota all have vessels to their name), Porsche has unveiled a 135 foot superyacht, dubbed Royal Falcon One.
At first glance, the exterior seems to honor storied bodylines its futuristic aluminum twin hull and superstructure embracing curves and other design cues we have come to expect from Studio F. A. Porsche, a Ludwigsburg, Germany based subsidiary of Porsche AG. Made in partnership with the Singapore firm, Royal Falcon Fleet, the catamaran’s interior features five cabins (three doubles, a VIP suite, and a master suite) that accommodate up to 10 guests. Passengers can avail themselves of a jacuzzi, an entertainment lounge, fully equipped bar, observation deck, and a tender garage. Its twin 4,600 horsepower M93L diesel engines and Rolls Royce KaMeWa Waterjets similarly in keeping with the sporting nameplate pack a serious punch, producing a top speed of 35 knots (just over 40 miles per hour).
Price tag, you ask? That’s available after the completion of an application process via listing agent, Hugo Van Schaik, a representative of British marine company Camper & Nicholsons International.
