BY AMANDA McCOY AND ERIK SCHONING
WHILE THE TOURBILLON is billed as an entirely new concept for the French hyper-maker, the exterior is unmistakably Bugatti, marked by a low, lean profile, dramatic fenders, and electrically actuated dihedral doors.
THE INTERIOR IS A MOSAIC of machined metal, crystal, and glass, anchored by a fixed-hub steering wheel below three Swiss watchmaker-designed instrument dials with raised numbers and physical needles. The steering wheel rotates around the gauges to never obstruct the view.
BUGATTI TOURBILLON
We’re currently in a glory age of power, with more than two dozen 1,000-plus-horsepower vehicles up for grabs on the global market (a few are even on this list). But Bugatti did it first when it unleashed the Veyron all the way back in 2005; the W16-fed phenomenon vaporized records with 1,001 ponies and a 250-mph top speed, setting the blueprint for the modern hypercar. Now, the French super-marque is making sonic waves yet again with the upcoming launch of the Tourbillon, a savage 1,800-hp predator that will replace the beloved Chiron. And while it doesn’t boast globe-leading horsepower in a streetcar this time around (that honor goes to the Koenigsegg Gemera, with a logic-defying rating of 2,300 ponies), the big news is the debut of the 8.3L naturally aspirated V16, which Bugatti developed with the mavericks of British engineering firm Cosworth. Rather than relying on turbo or superchargers, the engine receives boosts from a trio of electric motors mounted to the front and rear axles, which put out 789 horses on their own. The powerplant rocket launches the Tourbillon to 60 mph in 2 seconds flat, hitting 250 in 25 seconds. Don’t expect impressive mpg ratings, obviously, but the 21.0-kWh battery pack will hold a 30-mile charge.

JACOB & CO. X BUGATTI CHIRON TOURBILLON
In 2019, Bugatti and Jacob & Co. entered into a thrilling partnership agreement to create unri- valed hypercar-inspired timepieces. Both firms share a unique focus on extreme luxury, mechani- cal performance, and craft. This timepiece sports a 44mm titanium case paired with a rubber strap and a distinctive blue dial that really pops. It’s powered by a precise manual-winding movement and is water resistant up to 30m. $330,000,

LUCID AIR SAPPHIRE
“Verdict Lucid Air Sapphire: the best-handling sedan in the history of the world, or maybe the best-handling car, period,” proclaimed lifestyle automotive journalist Jason Cammisa with Hagerty. It’s one enthusiast’s opinion, yes, but Lucid Motor’s halo car certainly makes its case for the praise. First unveiled during Monterey Car Week in California in 2022, the high-performance EV builds on the already mighty 1,050-horsepower Air with almost 200 more ponies, a quicker 0-60 time, and enhanced chassis to support the performance boosts. The super-sedan is fed by a Lucid-first three-motor powertrain that whips up 1,234 horsepower with astonishing rocket muscle: 0-60 is reached in 1.89 seconds, with a quarter-mile completion in less than 9 seconds. The top speed crests 200, and 427 miles are served without a drop of gasoline courtesy of a 118.0-kWh battery. Inside, expect to be treated to the finer things in life, with bolstered heated, ventilated, and massaging seats in Alcantara, and carbon oak veneers cloaking the dash and doors.
ULYSSE-NARDIN GRAND BLEU
793-300 Restricted to just 18 pieces, this transparent stunner is a masterclass in craftsmanship and quality. Featuring a sapphire case, bridges, and main plates, the watch reveals its inner workings with precision and mechanical finesse. Crafted in sapphire, it spotlights skeletonized movement and a flying tourbillon on a brilliant blue alligator strap. $328,300, leonardojewelers.com
MOVE OVER, CYBERTRUCK, there’s another military beast in town with the U.S. Armor Group-built special edition that boasts a slate of probably-gratuitous-but-cool-nonetheless extras like ballistic windows, electric-shock door handles, and military-grade armor (the automaker proclaims the shell can withstand a 44 Magnum round, just in case you find yourself in the thick of an end-of-the-world apocalypse).
THIS KIND OF PONY POWER requires serious stopping muscle, thus huge carbon-ceramic brakes are standard equipment.
THE SUSPENSION WAS TUNED for the track, featuring stiffer front and rear springs, unique damper settings, stiffer bushings, unique-tuning for ABS, traction and stability control, and electronic power steering for superior handling.
FERRARI 12CILINDRI
The latest Ferrari superstar wears its name on its sleeve. The 12Cilindri (that’s dodici cilindri for you Italophiles) boasts that increasingly rare and beautiful of engines: the V12. This model features Ferrari’s all-new F140HD, and lest there be any confusion about this car’s M.O., the entire driving experience is built around pushing the engine to its limits. The car is communicative; its engine gets louder the closer you get to a wicked top speed of 211 mph. When you cross 6,500 rpm, red LEDs at the top of the steering wheel flash on, and as you near the 9,500 rpm redline, additional blue LEDs kick on in the cockpit. The exterior is classic Ferrari, borrowing from the timeless Daytona yet adding a few uber-modern features, such as masked headlights. In the cockpit, expect the latest in haptic and touchscreen technologies, three massive digital displays, and the signature Ferrari manettino dial with five driving modes. Yet no amount of modern comfort takes away from the simple fact that this is a vehicle designed to be driven – and driven fast. Pricing unofficial. RICHARD MILLE X FERRARI RM UP-01
Unique and drool-worthy, this ultra-thin, manual-winding watch was developed in a sexy collab between the two powerhouses. At just 1.75mm thick, it holds the title of the world’s thinnest mechanical watch. This exceptional piece reveals a titanium case for lightweight durability, a skeletonized movement visible through the dial, and a refined aesthetic that combines cuttingedge technology with the carmaker’s iconic flair. The price reflects its groundbreaking structure, finite production, and customizations. $1,880,000, richardmille.com
ENDLESS ACCELERATION is the name of the game with Ferrari’s new “aspirated torque shaping” system; when in the third and fourth gears, the engine management system alters the torque curve to give a constant feeling of prodigious and thrilling acceleration.
AERODYNAMIC ELEMENTS are subtly incorporated into the 12Cilindri. The model eschews a rear spoiler for flaps above the taillights that deploy at faster speeds, adding downforce. A long hood with swollen fender arches keeps drag at bay.
FOR EVEN MORE CONTROL look to a trio of metal flippers on the console to switch between auto and manual modes. The new eightspeed dual-clutch offers a wider ratio spread than other Ferrari models.
MERCEDES-BENZ G 580
Since 1979, G-Wagons have been the standard bearer for four-wheel-drive luxury SUVs. This year, the storied vehicle takes the next step. Enter the 2025 G580 EQ, Mercedes’ latest signature off-roader that announces to the world that this icon is now electric.
“The idea was, the G stays the G,” said Bernd Bodner, head of engineering for this car’s electrical system. And that continuity is clear in the design, preserving the signature boxy profile while streamlining it a bit. As with many new electric vehicles, the grille has been replaced by sleek bodywork. The G-class was initially conceived as a military vehicle, and the modern G580 is informed by that legacy, prioritizing performance and sturdiness. It features the classic G-class ladder frame chassis, a steel foundation that gives the car the beef to stand up to even the toughest off-roading.
Yet under that iconic hood is the latest in 50 years of automotive technology. The 2025 G580 EQ sports four electric motors, one for each wheel. All together, that will grant you 579 horsepower and a whopping 859 lb.-ft. of torque. (For context, the average new SUV will net you 100-400 lb.-ft. of torque. The G580 comfortably doubles even the higher end of that average.) And because this is an all-electric vehicle, there’s no need to build up to that high-end torque; like the best of modern life, it’s available to you all at once.

LONGTIME SUPERFANS will be delighted to know that the iconic sounds of its opening and closing doors — something between a bank vault and the cockpit of a spaceship — are still very much a part of this latest iteration.
TO EASE EVEN THE WILDEST JOURNEYS, Mercedes designers have built in an off-road cockpit that includes relevant information for terrain shredding as well as functions to support the driver, including a “transparent hood” feature, which utilizes the 360-degree camera to provide a virtual view of the underside of the vehicle.
YET FOR ALL ITS TOUGHNESS, the 2025 G580 is, after all, a luxury SUV. Interior sweets include optional diamond-quilted Nappa leather upholstery with contrast stitching, massaging front seats, a Burmester 3-D surround sound system, and 64-color ambient lighting.
HUBLOT SPIRIT OF BIG BANG TOURBILLON

AUDI RS E-TRON GT
Moving into the quarter century, Audi’s all-electric super-sedan already boasted serious street cred: its dual-motor-generated 637 horses catapulted the EV from standstill to 60 in 3.1 seconds, and an adaptive air suspension offered either silk or sport on demand. But this year, the German maker is upping the ante, showering its flagship EV with a slate of upgrades. The RS variant (there’s also a base S) now rockets through the air with 912 ponies, hitting 60 mph after just 2.4 seconds. It also boasts a bigger – yet lighter – battery, raising its total range to 300 miles with an 18-minute charge time from 10% to 80%. There’s an active new suspension in the house, too, that can individually control each wheel. The optional four-wheel-steering system further improves agility, as Audi said it now has a more direct front-axle ratio in addition to the ability to turn the rear wheels up to 2.8 degrees. $167,000. CHANEL MONSIEUR SUPERLEGGERA
Masculine and menacing, this ticker embodies perfect geometry, flawless circularity, and sharp digital graphics. The watch drops a matte black ceramic and steel case for durability and modernity. The guilloché-type dial presents a unique jumping hour at 6 o’clock and a 240° retrograde minute display, offering an uncommon timereading experience. A limited-edition piece, it exhibits the house’s bold approach to horology with a blend of brilliance and luxury. $45,600 chanel.com
AUDI WAS GENEROUS in its use of forged carbon, coating everything from the bumper, the rocker panel, and side mirrors to inlays on the door sills and dashboard. There’s also a moody matte darkened carbon roof.
A NEW DRIVER SELECT SYSTEM offers the usual suspects – efficiency, comfort, and dynamic – but purists will revel in the individually configurable RS1 and RS2 options, which allow pilots to select specific drive, suspension, ride height, and sound parameters.
A QUICK TOUCH OF A BUTTON floods the cabin in natural light, thanks to an all-new available glass roof with transparency control. Or, if you prefer a mere pinch of sunshine, the roof offers nine different finishes, from slightly tinted to full frost.
MASERATI MC20 GT2STRADALE
Maserati’s GT2 has brought the brand’s racing pedigree into a new era. This race car has been a track-only affair – until now. Enter the Maserati MC20 GT2 Stradale, a street-legal marriage of the GT2 with its inspiration, the MC20 supercar. But this is no watered-down race car; the GT2 Stradale is treated to performance upgrades that rival its forebearer on the track. Boasting a faster 0-60 time than the MC20, the Stradale packs a punch thanks to its Nettuno twin-turbocharged V6. It also sees aero and performance improvements from a reduction in weight. The GT2 Stradale weighs in 132 pounds lighter than the MC20, thanks to a redesigned carbon bumper and a rear carbon-fiber spoiler. Numbers and stats aside, this vehicle is simply beautiful: a widened front end (nicknamed the “shark nose” by Maserati engineers) leads up to hood vents marked with three strakes, in a nod to Maserati’s trident logo.
The interior here is also classic race car. There’s not a lot in the way of bells and whistles, and Maserati wants it that way: this car is meant to be a conversation between driver and engine. With that in mind, cabin surfaces are darkened to minimize glare on the road, and bucket seats keep the ride smooth at the speeds this vehicle will demand.

PORSCHE TAYCAN TURBO GT
Porsche launched the Taycan Turbo GT with a simple mission: to make the fastest EV in the world. Taking its rightful place atop the Taycan line, the Turbo GT is a study in lightness. Porsche’s engineers have trimmed the fat in pursuit of high-end speed and performance, replacing the rear seats with a carbon fiber storage bin, thinning the glass on the windshield, and even doing away with floormats. If that seems excessive, that’s exactly the point: this is a vehicle designed to push the limits of speed.
h the limits of speed. And push the limits it does. The Turbo GT replaces the 600-amp rear inverter from the Taycan Turbo S with a 900-amp unit, yielding a massive boost in power. Thanks to the higher-flow inverter, the Turbo GT can hit 1,092 horsepower, easily besting the peak performance of the Turbo S. An optional Weissach package boosts performance even further, outfitting the Turbo GT with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS Elect track tires, which even have Taycan-specific designs in the belts and plies. The Weissach package adds a fixed wing in the back, plus front and rear splitters, all while shaving an additional 165 pounds off the weight of the standard Turbo GT. $230,000. ROLLS-ROYCE
CULLINAN SERIES II
In spring 2018, at the exalted Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, Rolls-Royce whipped autodom into a frenzy with the unveiling of its first-ever SUV. Named after the globe’s largest diamond (a 3,106-carat behemoth currently on display in the Tower of London), the Cullinan debuted as a V12-brandishing, full-size high-rider with power and prestige in equal measure. Opening up the Rolls nameplate to an entirely new segment of buyers, the Cullinan soon became the British marque’s fastest-selling model, achieving record sales by 2023, but Rolls has never been one to simply rest on laurels. This year, in the first significant refresh since its initial launch, the Cullinan flaunts a new ‘do, including a revamped exterior, swath of new interior luxuries, and a tech-packed infotainment system. And don’t worry, engine purists; the Cullinan’s beating heart still pumps through 12 cylinders.
Upon first glance, superfans will notice the Cullinan’s enhanced fascia. The Pantheon grille remains, though it sports a lower leading edge, and is illuminated for the first time, complemented by a sleek new L-shaped LED strip. Larger air intakes lend more beef, as do the first-ever 23-inch sevenspoke wheels, each milled from a single billet of aluminium. Open the power-assisted doors to find a bold new pillar-topillar glass-panel fascia in the upper portion of the dashboard, which Rolls dubs the most substantive change to the interior.
Official pricing had yet to be released at press time, though the 2024 Cullinan started at $391,750. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Paramus, 331 Route 4, Paramus / 201.335.6167 rollsroycemotorcarsparamus.com.

FIRST UNVEILED on the Spectre, the SPIRIT operating system debuts in the Cullinan, granting buyers access to Whispers, the automaker’s private members app. Pilots can send destinations directly to their car, view Cullinan’s location remotely, and manage vehicle locking through the app.
THE CULLINAN’S ICONIC 6.7L V12 engine – famed for its soothing purr that deepens into a growl when pushed – is a carryover for 2025, cranking out 592 ponies and 664 lb-ft. of torque on the Black Badge upgrade. The base only sees a slight reduction in power, with 563 horses and 627 lb.-ft. of torque.
ONE OF THE MOST STRIKING new features is the illuminated fascia panel for the backseat riders, featuring a cityscape graphic inspired by towering skyscrapers at night. To create the illusion of depth, more than 7,000 dots were laser-etched onto the rear of the glass. And because Rolls is still a coachbuilder at its core, buyers can work directly with designers to custom craft their own fascia motif.

RIDE YOUR WAY
with a menu of driving modes that take the GT Speed from a silent smooth electric ride up to a powerful sport mode that lets the V8 engine shine.
The famous Bentley W12 was retired in April of last year, leaving many wondering how Bentley would follow up its ultra-powerful behemoth of a engine. But tucked inside the 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed is what turned out to be a more than worthy successor: a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 with an electric motor. That’s the shocking thing, despite the switch to a plug-in hybrid for its latest speedster, the GT Speed performs better than previous Continentals. That’s thanks to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive with an active center differential and electronically controlled limited-slip rear end. True to its namesake, the GT Speed is unrelentingly zippy and responsive even at face-melting velocities.
But elite performance is only one part of the picture when you’re talking Bentley. The GT Speed is an ultra-luxe experience packed with elegant details: leather-swaddled seatbelt buckles, a heated center console armrest, and ultra-lush carpeting. The top-end First Edition package soups things up with single front-end headlights, a rotating center display, and a premium Naim audio system with powerful transducers built into the front seats.

LAND ROVER DEFENDER OCTA
Originally born in 1983 as the Land Rover 110 (it wouldn’t bear the Defender moniker until 1990), Land Rover’s most rugged off-roader has long packed grace and grit aplenty. This year, the adventurous 4×4 is turning up the tough factor with the introduction of the Octa, promising more power and braggadocio than any Defender that came before. To beef up its new top trim, the Defender Octa sports a new powerplant: a BMW-designed twin-turbo 4.4L V8 for a meaty 626 horses and 553 lb.-ft. of torque, a 108-horsepower boost over last year’s top performer. The result? A blistering 3.8-second 0-60 time, which is faster than most mid-range sportscars – not too shabby for a beefy off-road SUV.
To ensure maximum badassery, Land Rover developed a new testing program with nearly 14,000 additional field tests to re-engineer the suspension and chassis for off-road capability, while still ensuring a smooth, comfortable ride on grocery runs and road trips. The beefed up suspension features new hydraulically interlinked 6D Dynamics tech, which enables greater wheel articulation over dirt, mud, and rocks, while sharpening up on the turnpike. Added enhancements include a 1.1-inch higher ground clearance, larger front Brembo brakes, and a new performance-focused off-road launch mode that optimizes acceleration on loose surfaces.

ACURA ADX
The Acura clan is growing this year, and like any new family member, the sub-compact SUV packs a youthful spirit in spades. The ADX is built on the same platform as Honda’s HR-V, but introduces luxuries worthy of a premium badge, including a tech-stacked interior, flashy good looks, and a turbo-souped engine that’s expected to churn out around 200 ponies, plenty of pep for the newcomer’s slender frame. (Horsepower numbers had yet to be released at press, but the ADX will sport the same VTEC engine under the Integra’s hood). There will be three flavors to choose from, and we’re partial to the top-end A-SPEC with the Advanced Package, which adds delicious goodies like a crystal clear Bang & Olufsen premium sound system designed specifically for the ADX. The bespoke system flaunts Bang & Olufsen’s proprietary Acoustic Lens Technology, an 8.8” subwoofer, 16-channel amplifier, and 15 speakers. CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR1
The global launch of the 8th gen ‘Vette in 2019 was a banner moment for America’s sportscar: the mid-engine powerhouse, with its razor-sharp lines and performance on tap, was widely heralded as Chevy’s best interpretation yet of its legacy roaster. And while the C8 certainly boasted the goods to keep hungry appetites at bay, the question nagging super-enthusiasts everywhere remained – would there be a ZR1 variant? (The first ZR1 debuted in 1970 as a performance package on the third gen Corvette, and has since resurfaced over several generations, including the C4 and C7). This year, the beast returns, arriving with a staggering 1,064 ponies from its mid-mounted twin-turbo V8, the first turbocharged Corvette in its 70-plus-year history. It’s also the most powerful factory V8 ever produced by an American automaker. (Slow clap.) A sophisticated chassis was meticulously fine-tuned to support the thundering powerplant, anchored by a standard adaptive suspension that makes real-time adjustments on the fly, and a new high-performance braking system boasts the largest front rotors ever seen on a ‘Vette. There are two trims on deck, the 1LZ and 3LZ, both offered in coupe and sliced-top configurations.

JAGUAR F-PACE SVR 575 EDITION
Last November, Jaguar took the global stage to announce a sweeping rebrand, setting the scene for an upcoming “bold and imaginative reinvention” as the 102-year-old maker moves toward an electric future. Autodom exploded, sending enthusiasts across the land and sea straight to the internet to voice their reactions. ( Jaguar responded that the brand knew the announcement would attract both attention and debate). The initiative will see the overhaul of just about everything, from Jag’s logo to its entire fleet of vehicles, making room for a battery-powered lineup that will kick off with a four-door GT expected to be revealed later this year. But for its grand finale, Jaguar’s first SUV, the rapacious F-Pace, is serving loyalists a souped-up special edition in the SVR 575, with more power and even meaner performance. Its supercharged 5.0L V8 has been tuned for 567 horses and 516 lb.-ft. of torque, and recalibrated handling and throttle response provide growl and gusto in equal measure. DODGE CHARGER SIXPACK H.O.
The sun setting over 2023 marked the end of an era for the Brother of Muscle, as Dodge manufactured its final V8-powered Charger and Challenger, the brawny, fuel-chugging twins that garnered the most loyal of cult followings upon their resurrection in the early aughts. Rumors swelled that a battery-powered muscle car could follow, conjecture that was confirmed with the unveiling of the Charger Daytona in early 2024. The 670-hp EV is undoubtedly impressive, taking the crown as the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car, but the announcement offered a surprise gift for traditionalists: a petrol-powered Charger would follow in 2025, dubbed the Sixpack (an ode to the 1969 Charger R/T fed by a 440 Magnum Six Pack engine). While the thundering V8 isn’t returning – the Hurricane twin-turbo 3.0L inline-six sits under the hood, the same powerplant in Jeep’s full-sized Grand Wagoneer – the high-output Sixpack H.O. still slices through air with a beefy 550 ponies, out-performing the old Scat Pack’s 6.4L V8. And while the Sixpack’s original launch date was slated for the end of 2025, the word on the street is Dodge is moving up its release by several months, thus diehards could have one in their grips before summer’s end.
Pricing unofficial, though estimates put it in the $50,000 range. Route 46 Chrysler Jeep Dodge / 1655 US-46, Little Falls / 888.544.1599 / route46chryslerjeepdodge.net

THE COCKPIT is a purist’s dream: all screens are tilted toward the driver, and a retro-inspired pistol grip gear shifter pays homage to muscle cars of yore. Dodge didn’t skimp on niceties, though; expect heated and ventilated seats and an ambient lighting setup with 64 color options
