CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS

The Culver Hotel celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, with festive events, communal Sunday Supper dinner parties, weekly jazz performances, and a new happy hour named in honor of the hotel’s founder, philanthropist Harry Culver. On the last Thursday of each month, enjoy the Golden Screen cinema series, presenting films from Hollywood’s Golden Age like West Side Story and Some Like It Hot at the nearby Culver Theater, followed by cocktails and bites inspired by the evening’s film back at the historic boutique hotel. The hotel also recently launched a new menu, moving away from French bistro fare to classic Hollywood dining with a modern California twist, including a mahogany and brass cocktail cart for tableside tipple. 9400 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, theculverhotel.com

LET IT DOUGH

South Korea’s uber-popular dessert shop just landed in L.A., opening in Century City Westfield Mall in April. This is Café Knotted’s first stateside outpost, and sugar-loving patrons are in for a treat as the Seoul-born café has achieved cult status since its launch in 2017. Offerings span iced and cream-topped coffee drinks, matcha lattes, fluffy croissants, cookies, and the brand’s signature cream stuffed doughnuts in flavors like lemon curd, banana, Boston chocolate, tiramisu, and more. The strawberry doughnut, served seasonally, is the café’s calling card, served sliced open at the top and loaded with not-too-sweet cream and fresh strawberries. Pair it with an iced strawberry cream top matcha latte if you’re feeling extra. 10250 Santa Monica Blvd, cafeknotted.com

CHIC SELINE

Chef Dave Beran’s Seline boasts the most delightful new tasting menu in Los Angeles. It’s an entirely different concept from his Parisian bistro, Pasjoli, located just down the street. Named for his daughter, Seline serves an elegant 14-course tasting spread that’s light, bright, and feminine, with plenty of vegetables and herbs (some foraged by the chefs) dressed up in delicious new ways; think a single frozen mustard leaf dipped in passion fruit, or grilled Baja sea bass surrounded by a wreath of broccolini and flower petals with a peanut coconut fish broth reminiscent of Thai curry poured tableside by Beran himself. Guests can glimpse the open kitchen from the 38-seat dining room, and warm service makes you feel at home. 3110 Main Street, Santa Monica, selinerestaurant.com

LUXE LOUNGING

Luxury bedding, home, and loungewear brand Cozy Earth just opened its first-ever store in Brentwood, showcasing its soft, breathable bamboo sheets, pajamas, towels, and more. “We’re thrilled to bring the experience to life, allowing guests to touch, feel, and immerse themselves in the unmatched softness and luxury we’re known for,” said Tyler Howells, founder and CEO. The super-soft sheets, available in a wide array of colors, are designed to keep you cool for better sleep. Plus, the durable weave fabric is ethically produced from 100% bamboo viscose and somehow seems to get softer with each wash. The brand has recently expanded into adult and kid’s loungewear along with a new skincare line, Fount Society. 256 26th Street, #101, Santa Monica, cozyearth.com
