PEDAL TO THE MEDAL

Supercar racing clubs abound in South Florida, but the newly launched Precision Drive Club offers a unique experience: a Formula One track as its centerpiece. Located within the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, the by-invitation-only club offers 40 track days per year along with uncapped use of the luxe facilities, including a hospitality suite, Race Control room, and garages for storing cars. There are four different track layouts, where drivers can take track cars through many of the same hairpin turns used on the F1 circuit, plus exhilarating straightaways at 125+ mph. There are only 100 memberships up for grabs. precisionclub.com

LUXE LANDING

Last year marked 30 years since the Pelican Hotel welcomed its first troupe of sun-thirsty travelers on Ocean Avenue in South Beach, and in honor of its birthday, the chic boutique debuted a new rooftop concept, dubbed Room 55. The cocktail bar is fashioned after a retro speakeasy, an intimate social club for those in the know. With sweeping views of Muscle Beach in the distance, mixologists fill coupes and flutes with luxe liquid fare; the Silk and Sand, for instance, features cacao nibs-infused Mijenta tequila, fresh cantaloupe puree, homemade yuzu cordial, saline solution, and a black pepper topper, while the Duchess of Duke blends Avuá Amburana Cachaca with sherry wine, lemon juice, fresh raspberries, and Angostura bitters. Food pairings include truffle oil filet mignon tartare and a jalapeño-spiced salmon crudo. 826 Ocean Drive, room55.pelicanhotel.com

HERE COMES THE SUNNY

This spring, a chic new hotel is debuting on a peaceful stretch of coast in Sunny Isles, Miami’s laid-back yet luxurious neighbor to the north. Rates begin around $450. 16701 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, thesunnyhotel.com

FIRE & SPICE

The vibrant flavors of Latin America are the star of the show at Rosa Negra, a Brickell newcomer slathered in deca dence. Housed in a sprawling 13,000-square-foot space in the Dua Miami hotel, the chic steakhouse concept features several indoor and outdoor dining spaces, plus a secret speakeasy-style bar. Delicacies from several southern countries are on tap, from Argentine beef to Peruvian ceviche. The menu spans lighter plates of octopus with leche de tigre or tuna tartare with blood orange dressing, to hefty portions of orza short rib pasta or a flaming tomahawk. The beverage programs leans heavily on Latin American spirits, plus several Mexican wines. 1346 S Miami Avenue, rosanegrarestaurant.us

ON THE HUNT

Mother Wolf, the glitzy West Coast hotspot famed for scratch Roman fare, recently landed in Miami’s Design District. The buzzy outpost serves the same handmade pastas and wood-fired pizzas that put Chef Evan Funke on the map (he’s now widely considered Los Angeles’ best pasta maker), though the menu does vary from its Angeleno and Vegas counterparts. Standouts include a crispy bone-in veal chop served with wild arugula and cherry tomatoes, and a grilled Mediterranean sea bass with house salsa verde. Décor is bright and opulent, marrying Roman flourishes with Miami’s Art Deco roots: Italian terrazzo flooring, Spanish tile, marble tables, and Murano glass light fixtures. There’s also a temperature-controlled pasta lab so diners can watch the magic happen. 3841 NE 2nd Avenue, motherwolfmiami.com
