SECRET GARDEN
Each of the 18 one-of-a-kind residences at Garden house seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living, with private outdoor spaces for everything from sunrise yoga to evening cocktails. A discreet driveway welcomes you to the most coveted new address in Beverly Hills, with townhomes, garden flats, and sky villa penthouses designed by MAD Architects, all between two-to-four bedrooms, surrounding a lushly landscaped courtyard and reflecting pool. The striking living green wall is one of the largest in the country and inspired by towering hedges shielding mansions, with native, drought-tolerant succulents and vines to contrast with the stark white pitched-roof modern hillside village. Miele appliances, Japanese-style onsen baths with freestanding soaking tubs, and radiant floor heating are just a few of the contemporary comforts in the sophisticated interiors. 8600 Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, bhgardenhouse.com
BRIGHT & BOLD
Founded by second-generation jeweler Garen Yessayan, U Los Angeles is a modern new jewelry brand, combining energizing stones like coral, lapis, turquoise, onyx, and quartz with diamonds to invite customers to manifest their intentions. U Los Angeles just opened their first retail location at Westfield Century City shopping center, and stars like Jenna Ortega and Janelle Monae have been spotted in the signature U-shaped designs. “I have a passion for digital sketching on my tablet, so I crafted the iconic U motif that now defines the entire collection,” Yessayan said. “Each piece is chosen and worn based on individual personalities.” Westfield Century City, 10250 Santa Monica Boulevard, ulosangeles.com
ROOFTOP REVERIE
New York’s iconic aperitivo bar Dante opened on the rooftop of the Maybourne Beverly Hills, quickly becoming the rooftop cocktail destination for Angelenos wishing they were on the Amalfi Coast. Classic Italian cocktails like the Garibaldi, bellini, and all manner of spritzes parade past the pool constantly, and there’s a full food menu available all day to sate hunger, whether you’re feeling peckish for arancini, cheese, and charcuterie, or craving carbs. The wood-fired pizzas and pappardelle al ragu are just as good as at the original West Village restaurant. Invite your friends to the plush blue booths and white marble tables indoors, and save room for Dante’s signature tiramisu or a boozy affogato for dessert. 225 N Canon Drive, Beverly Hills, dantebeverlyhills.com
DISH ALL DAY
SoCal does the spring season right, and the newly opened all-day dining haunt Highly Likely in Highland Park celebrates LA’s nearly perfect climate with a leafy outdoor bar and seating area dripping in ambiance. The indoor space is chic and dimly lit, and both venues serve chef-partner Kat Turner’s famed globally influenced fare (the original location in West Adams opened in 2018). Come early to feast on chilaquiles made with zesty labne and house red salsa, or the cult-favorite French toast crafted from scratch focaccia. All-day standouts include wild snapper fish and chips, house-made granola with cashew yogurt, and a Levantine “sando” with halloumi, cucumber, roasted tomatoes, argula, minty yogurt, and za’atar. There’s a variety of adult and zero-proof drinks on hand too, including daquiris on the weekends. 5526 N Figueroa Street, itshighlylikely.com
ZERO TO HERO
STAY is LA’s first and only zero-proof cocktail lounge, located in the former Hong Kong Cafe space in Chinatown. Co-founders Stacey Mann and Summer Phoenix hope to create an elegant social experience without the need for alcohol. Each cocktail is inspired by and named after the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, featuring cold-pressed juices, fresh herbs, and premium zero-proof spirits, accompanied by DJ sets, live music, art openings, and more. Plant-based bar snacks are available as well. “I wanted to create a place where intention ality is supported, where an alternative to alcohol-seeped interaction is rewarded and not frowned upon,” Phoenix said. 425 Gin Ling Way, stayzeroproof.com
