THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN
Broadway musical Jersey Boys returns to the Las Vegas stage at the Orleans Hotel and Casino this holiday season. The residency launches on December 21, the first long-term residency show in the 850-seat Orleans Showroom’s history. The true-life musical depicts the story of how Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons rose to success from the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and ran for 11 years on Broadway after premiering in 2005, winning four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Each of the Four Seasons members narrates a different part of the story, providing an overall picture of the group’s journey to fame. 4500 W Tropicana Avenue, jerseyboys.vegas

STRIP STEAK
Brooklyn icon Peter Luger Steak House has been open since 1887, and the family-owned steakhouse just opened its fourth global location at Caesars Palace, complete with a custom dry-aging facility for their meat. The menu, which has set the standard for American steak houses, is famously sparse. Regulars often order without ever looking at a menu. The star of the show is the world-famous Peter Luger Steak for Two, a giant porterhouse that has been dry-aged in-house and cooked in a broiler to order. The steak is finished with butter on its serving platter and goes out sizzling. At lunch, fans line up for the half-pound burger topped with extra-thick cut bacon. 3570 S Las Vegas Boulevard, caesars.com/caesars-palace/restaurants/ peter-luger-steak-house

MAGIC, MEAT & MAYHEM
Some chefs romanticize food, waxing poetically about seasonality and flavor. Others, like NYC’s cheeky cuisiner Eyal Shani, fetishize ingredients. At his recently opened Vegas outpost of the Hell’s Kitchen favorite HaSalon, chef Shani describes veggies as “mysterious creatures” that “seduce” him. At the bustaurant, diners can expect dinner and a show, where cleverly titled dishes like “7 ricotta clouds, not even one more” and “skirt steak bathing in tomato ovaries and spicy” are served amid strobing house lights and fire displays. DJs spin high-energy beats long into the wee hours of the morning, and guests are encouraged to dance on tables.
