In a city already famed for throwing glitter in the face of conventions, a recent launch raises the bar once again. Set in the former Paris Theater an opulent Art Deco icon circa 1945 that’s been featured in a myriad of music videos and album covers Queen Miami Beach is a deliciously over the top dining experience drenched in glamour. A color  and pattern changing LED ceiling keeps watch over the main dining room, further decked out with terrazzo floors, a Mondrian wall, and a custom mosaic handmade in Italy. There’s also an exclusive members only VIP lounge ornamented with a marble bar. CHILLS AND THRILLS

Housed in Little River’s rooftop culinary emporium the Citadel, a newly opened cocktail bar was fashioned after an ardor for fantastical monsters, and more importantly, the creative minds behind them. Named for the Japanese word for “strange beast,” Bar Kaiju serves a smorgasbord of monster themed libations in moody, neon soaked digs decked out in Japanese anime. The menu is composed of 13 (of course) signature cocktails, each accompanied by an illustration of the creature that inspired it. GREEK GODDESS

Brightly hued bougainvillea cling to the white washed walls of this buzzy Greek restaurant and lounge, bringing the magic of Mykonos to the Miami riverfront. Helmed by local super chef Steve Rhee, Kiki on the River serves up a rockstar roster of Grecian classics for both lunch and dinner, all made from scratch daily and teamed with a colorful selection of signature cocktails. Think sizzling saganaki with lemon and oregano to start, followed by Greek Bolognese, lamb chops drizzled with honey truffle sauce, and whole lobster stuffed with crab and sprinkled with fresh feta. There’s also a soaring seafood tower to share, stacked with Alaskan king crab, Maine lobster, jumbo shrimp, oysters, and mussels. A FRIGHT TO REMEMBER

On September 15, the Curtiss Mansion, a hallowed, early 20th century historical landmark in Miami Springs, was resurrected as a fright fantastic, an immersive, adults only experience dripping in theatrical performances, spooky cocktails, and ghostly surprises. Dubbed Havana Haunted House, the Cuban themed pop up takes guests on a chilling journey back in time to 1920s Havana, where they are tasked with solving the mysterious disappearance of a prominent family through a series of challenges and puzzles. Meander through the Witch’s Kitchen, where ancient spells are cast, before trying your luck in the secret casino. Latin dishes, themed craft cocktails, and Cuban cigars are also on tap. SOFT AS SILK

Late last year, the former Spanish engineer turned haute fashion designer, Adriana Iglesias, launched her eponymous brand’s flagship in the Design District, bringing her famed Mediterranean flair to the Miami shore. Loved by super celebs like Sofia Vergara and Hailey Bieber, the luxe line up features a range of whimsical dresses, tropic splashed sets, and billowy blouses, all inspired by the lavishly languid lifestyle of the Còte d´Ázur.
