This longstanding rehabilitation leader in Saddle Brook enters a new era of wellness and longevity, uniting chiropractic care, advanced therapies, integrated recovery, and functional medicine under one roof

As healthcare increasingly embraces prevention and whole-body wellness, Ferraro Spine & Rehabilitation is expanding its focus beyond traditional injury recovery. For nearly three decades, Peter Ferraro, DC, FACC, MCS-P, has championed conservative, non-surgical care. Now, the Saddle Brook practice is building on that foundation with a growing emphasis on wellness and longevity, reflecting a broader movement toward proactive health management rather than simply treating illness and injury.
The most significant development since our last visit is the launch of a new wellness and longevity division led by the practice’s nurse practitioners. “We now offer in-house bloodwork and functional medicine, InBody composition assessments for body fat and hydration analysis, and hormone replacement and vitamin therapy,” Dr. Ferraro said. These services are paired with nutrition and exercise evaluations, allowing patients to take a more proactive approach to their health. Together with the practice’s team of chiropractors, physical and occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and certified strength and conditioning coaches, the program reflects a growing demand for integrated healthcare solutions.
Dr. Ferraro said the practice is also seeing a rise in motor vehicle accident injuries linked to distracted driving, prompting further refinement of its multidisciplinary care model to deliver coordinated treatment and recovery services under one roof.
To support recovery, the practice combines focal and radial shockwave therapy, deep-tissue laser treatments, and IDD spinal decompression. “We have seen significant improvements in patient pain within weeks,” noted Dr. Ferraro. As wellness and holistic recovery continue to gain momentum, Dr. Ferraro said misconceptions around pain management persist. “There’s a misunderstanding that pain management must involve addictive narcotics. My practice emphasizes non-pharmaceutical approaches supported by a recovery wing featuring compression therapy, recovery stations, and infrared sauna access, alongside the Fast Twitch performance center, which bridges rehabilitation, recovery, and injury prevention.”
Looking ahead, the practice recently welcomed a new nurse practitioner certified in pain management and a first assist for spine and extremity surgery, expanding its ability to guide patients from conservative care through minimally invasive procedures when needed. “This allows us to manage patient care from the most conservative treatments to the least invasive surgical options when necessary, ensuring we support our patients through every stage of their health goals,” he said.
