MICHELE’S ART OF DECO WATCH FEATURES NOT JUST 297 HAND-SET DIAMONDS, BUT THE MOST EXUBERANT FACE DESIGN WE’VE SEEN IN RECENT MEMORY

BY TIA KIM

Timepieces are a specialty for the multi-generational enterprise, and one of its most recent arrivals is this limited edition two tone Art of Deco watch, made in Switzerland by Michele. The maker’s history began in the 1940s with Belgian watchmaker Maurice Barouh, who ultimately handed control to his son, Jack, and Jack’s wife, Rita (the couple recreated the brand in 1995 as it’s known today renaming it after their eldest daughter, Michele). This simply stunning piece a riff on an iconic house design offers an ornate Art Deco inspired geometric face, bezel, and dial adorned with 297 hand-set diamonds (total diamond weight 1.12 carats). The 18 mm two tone bracelet is interchangeable with any Michele strap, and the case is medium sized at 33 mm by 35 mm.
