ORIGINALLY CONCEIVED FOR A 2015 FASHION SHOW, LOUIS VUITTON’S GO-14 BAG IS REVAMPED WITH A FUTURISTIC FLAIR FOR FALL
BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE
To mark his ten-year anniversary as artistic director at the holy house of Louis Vuitton, Nicholas Ghesquère just launched a fresh iteration of a brand favorite: the GO-14 bag. Featuring the famed malletage finish (a padded criss-cross pattern that mimics the interiors of traditional LV trunks from 1858), the GO-14 bag isn’t just an ode to the brand’s storied heritage, but also a genius design that seamlessly fuses the classic with the contemporary. Crafted in luxuriously soft lambskin, boasting overstitching details that accent the design’s curves and cushioned feel, the carrier is drenched in a new black and pink satin colorway that appears metallic thanks to a unique, hand-applied spraying technique. In addition to the emblematic LV twist lock and a spacious interior zip pocket, the new GO-14 also comes with an adjustable jewel chain strap allowing the bag to be handheld like a clutch.
