CALIFORNIA MODEL KAELEIGH GILABERT IS ON A MISSION TO HELP OTHERS DISCOVER THEIR LIFE’S TRUE PASSIONS

INDUSTRY: How did you get started modeling?
KAELEIGH GILABERT: When I was in college I was playing soccer, and I couldn’t find a regular 9-5 job that worked with my schedule. I ended up taking an internship writing for an entertainment magazine….A photographer informed me that an upcoming clothing line was looking for new models and that I should apply. He sent my photos and I went and did a test shoot; the photos came out and were published. From there, producers kept reaching out and asking me to do shoots and music videos. From there I was picked up by an agency that focused on music videos.

IM: Tell us about some gigs you’ve done.
KG: I have been in music videos for artists such as Chris Brown and Joyner Lucas Tyga. I have also walked for Rocha swimwear in L.A. fashion week.

IM: What is your favorite thing about the winter/holiday season?
KG: My favorite thing about the holiday season is spending time with friends and family and doing holiday activities. My favorite holiday would have to be Halloween, and I enjoy getting scared at haunted mazes and carving pumpkins with my family. I also love how it is socially acceptable to walk around in crazy costumes and see how other people express their artistic sides.

IM: Does your background influence your look?
KG: I come from a mixed family being Middle Eastern/European and Hispanic. I feel like this is influential to my look because with my ethnic features, I hold the history of my ancestors.

IM: Where are you currently living?
KG: I currently reside in Glendale, CA, Los Angeles county.

IM: Tell us about your career.
KG: Throughout my career I was doing modeling sparingly just to get through college. During COVID, I decided to focus on modeling full time and it has been an incredible journey. I constantly travel and am allowed to focus on my art fully and help other artists bring their visions to life

IM: What do you hope for your future?
KG: In the future I hope to continue modeling and help others find their passion
