TUCKED INTO THE TRANQUIL HILLS OF MEXICO’S BAHIA DE BANDERAS AND BATHED IN BOTANICALS, THIS NEWLY DEBUTED SPA PROMISES PRINCESS-LEVEL PAMPERING
BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE
To commemorate its one-year anniversary, Susurros del Corazón, an award-winning surf retreat in Mexico, debuted an Auberge Collection Spa. Taking cues from the Mexican expression “Que onda?” (translation: What’s your vibe?), Onda evokes a spirit of joy and playfulness that extends throughout its vibrant, coastal setting. Housed on the grounds of the sprawling resort (which features 26 guest rooms, 33 suites, and 30 villas), the spa seamlessly integrates modern elements with Mexico’s rich artisanal heritage. Designed by renowned interior designer Paul Duesing, each space harmonizes indoor and outdoor living with floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces that immerse guests in the region’s natural splendor. Onda stands out as the largest resort spa in Bahia de Banderas, boasting 11 treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, saunas, steam rooms, and a fitness center. Here, guests can rejuvenate amidst serene surroundings, embracing the resort’s commitment to sensory indulgence and ocean-inspired tranquility.

The spa menu spans everything from two-hour, full-body rituals to personalized facials that enhance skin clarity and radiance. Additionally, treatments are tailored to guests’ individual needs, ranging from expert-led fitness classes and calming yoga sessions to invigorating cardio boot camps. The resort offers culinary delights across two eateries, including the meticulously curated Onda Café overseen by chef Tonatiuh Cuevas Manzano, complementing the rejuvenating spa experience with a selection of healthy, earthy bites.
