MAKING ITS WORLD PREMIER AT THE 2019 PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW, THE 78HTS ADONIS MARRIES TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION AND SENSATIONAL EUROPEAN CRAFTSMANSHIP

BY MATTHEW MIZRACH

In an increasingly competitive industry and with so many extraordinary models to choose from, establishing oneself as a premier luxury yacht manufacturer is a daunting task. Forecasting this struggle of standing out, Istanbul based Company Numarine (already known for high performance motor yacht designs) partnered with global technology innovator Furrion in designing its latest release. Aptly named after the Greek god of beauty and desire, the 78HTS Adonis which debuted at the 2019 Palm Beach International Boat Show is an amalgam of beauty and technological ingenuity.
The 78 foot vessel’s sleek exterior is a standout feature, and includes a sizable sun pad and relaxation space at the bow. Once inside, the main deck features contemporary interior design, entertainment spaces, multiple bars (one with transformable sunpads), a dining area, and an abundance of natural light thanks to oversized and glazed windows. Four spacious cabins are provided on the lower deck, and sport every amenity imaginable.

The pièce de résistance of the Adonis, however, is smart technology seamlessly integrated throughout. Controlled by a virtual concierge named “Angel,” it utilizes artificial intelligence and facial recognition to personalize the yachting experience. Some features include delivering the weather or latest news, controlling the entertainment system and music playlists, suggesting destination itineraries based on personal preferences, even ordering food from the kitchen or instructing a morning yoga session. Angel can also deploy a drone to provide security surveillance of the surroundings or take photos at a voice request. Furrion Smart Mirrors are scattered throughout the cabins and deck, which function as large screen tablets that offer internet access and entertainment.
