We miss the late Carl Reiner, but 96-year-old Mel Brooks, who created the iconic parody skit and subsequent 1981 fi lm with his lifelong friend and comedy partner, has fi lled the void with a cavalcade of stars. In eight episodes, Brooks off ers up zany sketches showcasing memorable historical persons and events. Among the gems: Taika Waititi as Sigmund Freud, Hannah Einbinder as Amelia Earhart, Wan-da Sykes as Harriet Tubman, and Dove Cameron as Princess Anastasia Romanov. Expect “cameos” from Jesus Christ, Alexander Graham Bell, and Abraham Lincoln, and watch for Danny DeVito, Emily Ratajkowski, Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman, and J.B. Smoove. The irrepressible Brooks is writer and executive producer.

DAISY JONES & THE SIX PRIME VIDEO

Riley Keough, Elvis Presley’s grand-daughter, leads this fi ctional rock n’ roll tale based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Admittedly taking inspiration from Fleetwood Mac, this fictitious titular 1970s rock bands’ meteoric rise and subsequent break-up plays out over ten episodes. Sam Clafl in
(Hunger Games’ Finnick Odair), is Daisy’s love interest, creative partner, and fellow lead singer Billy Dunne. Years after splitting, the band members reunite to reveal what really happened. Songs for the series were written and recorded by real rockers Marcus Mumford, Phoebe Bridgers, Jackson Browne, and more. Co-starring Suki Waterhouse and Timothy Olyphant.

MURDER MYSTERY 2 HULU In the sequel to the sleeper 2019 comedy hit, married couple Adam Sandler, a police detective, and his hairdresser wife Jennifer Aniston reprise their roles as Nick and Audrey Spitz. Now full-time private eyes after bumbling their way to solving a murder in glamorous European lo-cales during the fi rst fi lm, the couple is working to establish their private eye business when their new friend from 2019, the Maharajah (Adeel Akhtar), is kidnapped during his lavish wedding. Cue more car chases and explosions across the continent. The cast includes Mark Strong, Tony Goldwyn, and Jodie Turner-Smith. This is Sandler and Aniston’s third film together.

fi ctionalized version of their relation-ship in Unstable, which turns John Owen’s social media trolling of his famous father into a workplace sitcom. Co-created by the Lowes and Victor Fresco (Santa Clarita Diet), the scripted series follows biotech en-trepreneur Ellis Dragon (Rob) as he struggles following his wife’s death. Son Jackson (John Owen) arrives to help save the family company as the fi rm’s employees work on potentially world-changing technology. April MRS. DAVIS PEACOCK The drama series
stars Betty Gilpin (GLOW, The Tomorrow War),  as a nun fromReno who must battle “the world’s most powerful Artifi cial Intelligence” known as Mrs. Davis, threatening to take over humanity by enticing hu-man “partners” to join an algorithm. Jake McDorman (Dopesick, The Right Stuff ) plays Simone’s ex, who harbors a vendetta against the AI. After its four-episode premier, the remaining four episodes will debut weekly. Peacock teased audiences with a “letter” written by Mrs. Davis luring new users through praise, engendering trust, and “eradicating any sense of independence.” David Arquette and Emmy Award winner Margo Martindale also star.
