THE LEGENDARY GERMAN AUTOMAKER SHIFTS GEARS INTO ULTRA LUXURY LIVING WITH ITS FIRST U.S. RESIDENTIAL TOWER A 67-STORY MASTERSTROKE IN BRICKELL THAT BLENDS CUTTING-EDGE ARCHITECTURE, HIGH-PERFORMANCE AMENITIES, AND A SUPERCHARGED LIFESTYLE

Miami’s Brickell district is no stranger to the luxury lifestyle; an elite crop of mega-names like Four Seasons, Baccarat, Cipriani, and even Dolce and Gabbana have all planted roots in the city’s towering financial hub with dizzying residential projects. But the arrival of Mercedes-Benz Places, slated for completion in 2027, is set to raise the bar yet again and redefine what it means to live in a super-luxury residential high-rise. This shimmering 67-story tower is the first branded residential project by the legendary German automaker in the United States, fresh off the heels of its debut Dubai project, a jaw-dropping 1,118-foot-tall hyper tower with a spaceship-like facade. And in Miami, Mercedes-Benz Places promises not just a place to live, but an experience, a statement, a future-focused community at the heart of one of America’s most dynamic cities.

The partnership between Mercedes-Benz and JDS Development Group is the driving force behind this ambitious project. The location 191 SW 12th Street offers proximity to Mary Brickell Village, Biscayne Bay, and the financial pulse of the city. This energetic hotspot was once known for its hardware stores and gas stations, yet today it’s a sophisticated urban destination and perfect spot for Benz’ Places. The building’s silhouette is a departure from Dubai’s elliptical lines. The SHoP Architects-designed offset cuboid shape is a sculptural marvel, embodying Mercedes-Benz’s design philoso phy of “Sensual Purity,” a seamless blend of beauty, innovation, and utility. Global design studio Woods Bagot took the driver’s wheel on interiors, selecting a palette of snow whites and crisp blacks juxtaposed with warm woods and graphic accents (another ode to the Benz lifestyle).

Inside, the residences range from smartly designed studios to three-bedroom mega-condos. Inside, ten-foot floor-to-ceiling window walls and deep open-air terraces offer sweeping vistas over Miami’s many waterways, from Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic Ocean, along with the sleepless twinkle of the ever-growing skyline. Kitchens are sleek, modern, and loaded with tech. Buyers can choose from a catalog of dark and light finishes with materials like black stone, white-stained red oak, and black-finish metal. Massive center islands offer plenty of space for cocktails and canapés, or a cozy Sunday morning breakfast overlooking the Bay. Miele appliances nearly disappear into the custom cabinetry, and tinted mirror back splashes feature integrated home technology.

The true stars of the development are, of course, the penthouses, whose details were still being guarded under wraps at press time. These top-level homes are expected to feature dramatic double-height ceilings, private rooftop pools, wraparound terraces, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic and Biscayne Bay – with a few surprises, to be sure.

Outside the residents’ front doors, the unmatched amenities elevate this project to new heights. Residents will enjoy exclusive access to the Silver Arrow Lounge, where a 52-foot rooftop swimming pool and expansive sundeck offer a secluded retreat above the bustling district. More than 130,000 square feet of amenity space will include a cinema, kids’ play areas, co-working lounges, wine and cigar spaces, recording studio, and a massive health and wellness destination with a series of saunas, Japanese onsenritual circuit, Himalayan salt room, aromatherapy room, steam room, and fitness studio.

Dining options abound, with a café, cocktail bar, and two signature restaurants slated for the property. Plus, its prime Brickell location is just steps away from many of the city’s most coveted reservations, including the David Grutman and Bad Bunny joint Japanese steakhouse venture, Gekko, and the cheeky London transplant Sexy Fish.

Smart-living technology will be woven throughout every corner of the development, featuring EV charging stations, scooter and bike sharing, and digital concierge services reflecting Mercedes Benz’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

Beyond the walls of the tower, Mercedes-Benz and JDS are reshaping the neighborhood. Their commitment to the community includes the replacement of the local fire station and the revitalization of Southside Park, designed in partnership with Field Operations, the firm behind

New York’s celebrated High Line. This thoughtful integration of public space and residential luxury reflects a larger vision: creating not just a tower, but a lasting, positive footprint on Miami’s urban fabric.

Michael Stern, CEO of JDS Development, emphasized this vision: “We’re proud to deliver a design-led, future-oriented community in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz. Together, we are creating a neighborhood that blends cutting-edge architecture with sustainability and world-class amenities.”

As it continues to climb ahead of its 2027 completion, Mercedes-Benz Places stands as a bold and beautiful testament to what the future of ultra-luxury living can be. It’s not merely about high-end real estate it’s about creating a lifestyle ecosystem where design, technology, and community intersect. As Miami continues its rise as a global hub of culture, finance, and innovation, this project is destined to be a crown jewel in the city’s skyline, offering residents the rare opportunity to live within the unmistakable legacy of Mercedes-Benz.
