TMPL
David Barton’s newest endeavor is a 40,000 square foot West Side gym that features a 75 foot saltwater pool (seen here), an immersive spin theater, and 20 tons of free weights. A first meeting with one of the many trainers will produce a M.A.P.: a metabolic assessment pro le that looks at health parameters like sleep, hormone levels, and weight to form a comprehensive betterment plan. TMPL also has one of very few Styku machines in the city, which measures body fat, muscle, and hydration levels. Steam and sauna rooms and a juice bar complete this, at least for this list, relatively thrifty option. Cost: $165 a month, plus a $300 enrollment fee. 355 West 49th Street, tmplgym.com
