The most powerful open-top Lamborghini ever created, the ultra-exclusive and virtually unattainable Fenomeno Roadster whips V-12 fury with bespoke craftsmanship and wind-in-your-hair hysteria in a celebration of the Raging Bull’s past, present, and future.

When Lamborghini unveils a new limited-production supermachine, expectations tend to land somewhere between “outrageous” and “physically impossible.” The Italian marque has spent decades cultivating a reputation for building loud, angular declarations of speed and excess wrapped in carbon fiber and drama. Yet even by Lambo standards, the new Fenomeno Roadster is special.

Limited to just 15 examples worldwide, the open-top hypercar sits at the summit of Lamborghini’s Few-Off series, joining legions of ultra-exclusive “rolling laboratories” like the Reventón, Veneno, Centenario, and Sian. Built atop the technological foundation of the flagship Revuelto, the Fenomeno Roadster pushes the formula to the max, emerging as the most powerful drop-top Lamborghini ever produced.

The name itself is fitting. “Fenomeno” translates to phenomenon, a nod to a machine designed not merely to perform, but to leave an impression. And a phenomenon it is indeed; at its core sits Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, still the beating heart of the brand despite an industry-wide migration toward smaller displacements and turbocharged power. In the Fenomeno, that legendary powerplant works in concert with three electric motors to generate a mind-melting 1,065 horsepower (a boost over the Revuelto’s 1,001 ponies). Performance figures are, unsurprisingly, absurd. In 2.4 seconds, the hyperbeast hits 60mph before blasting to 124mph in just 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 217mph. Slow clap – if you can still feel your fingers, of course.

Visually, the Fenomeno embraces the aggressive design language that has become synonymous with the House of the Raging Bull, with deeply sculpted bodywork that slices through the air even when standing still. Sharp lines, wide air intakes, and Y-shaped taillights all add to the visual appeal, while the active rear wing system maximizes downforce to ensure exceptional stability even at triple-digit speeds.

“The challenge is always to create a unique character, unexpected and with a personal identity as a design idea for the new Lamborghini,” explained Mitja Borkert, head of design at Lamborghini Centro Stile. “For the Fenomeno Roadster, we worked intensively on the creative inclusion of the engine area, which has the visual illusion for the driver that it is floating. That illusion helps to integrate and celebrate the driver as much as possible.”

Pricing begins around $5.5 million, though each machine had already been claimed before the public reveal.
