INDUSTRY MAGAZINE: How did you get started modeling?
KIRSTEN VALE: I got started modeling when I was 17 and was inspired by all the modeling TV shows back then, such as America’s Top Model. I fell in love with the creativity and confidence that comes with it. I loved looking at magazines and seeing the beautiful women.

IM: Tell us about some gigs you’ve done.
KV: I started doing prom and bridal modeling, which is my favorite. Since then I’ve shot with a lot of amazing photographers in NYC, some for print, some for fun. Each experience has helped me grow and explore different styles and settings.

IM: What is your favorite thing about the spring season?
KV: I love how spring feels fresh and full of energy. The blooming flowers, lighter fashion, and sunny days make it the perfect time for outdoor shoots.

IM: Does your background influence your look?
KV: Yes my Nordic background gives me my cheekbones that often adds versatility to my modeling work.

IM: Where are you currently living?
KV: I’m currently living in New York City on the Upper East Side. It’s a great location for connecting with clients and agencies while exploring creative opportunities.

IM: Tell us about your career.
KV: I’m focused on commercial modeling and have had the chance to collaborate with different brands and photographers. I’m always looking to challenge myself and grow within the industry.

IM: What do you hope for your future?
KV: I hope to work with more photographers who allow me to get more creative and editorial. I hope to expand into building a career that’s creative, fulfilling, and inspiring.

IM: What are a few of your favorite things?
KV: I love the simple things. I try to walk around the city and try a new coffee shop / bakery almost everyday. Reading in the park on a warm summer day here is the best.

IM: How would you describe your personality in 3 words?
KV: Adventurous, creative, ambitious.

IM: What did you always want to be when you were growing up?
KV: Growing up I used to tell people that I wanted to be a Las Vegas showgirl which is quite the answer (laughs). I loved seeing women perform and dress in crazy costumes.

IM: Is there anything else you’d like to share?
KV: I’m passionate about modeling, art, and making connections. I’m always excited to meet new collaborators and explore creative opportunities.
