A local art exhibition, a production of Hair, and a freestyle concert are among our art and stage ornaments for April

LET THE SUN SHINE
Wagner College Theatre will celebrate the ’60s counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed and fringed glory from April 19-29, with its presentation of the Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. To an infectiously energetic rock beat (music by Staten Island’s own Galt MacDermot), the show features popular anthems like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “Hair,” and “Let the Sun Shine.” Promoting the ideals of peace, love and acceptance—and we have never, never needed them more—the show will be directed and choreographed by Darren Lee with music direction by David Sisco.
