AZIMUT’S VERVE 47, THE SECOND MODEL FROM THE VIAREGGIO, ITALY BASED OUTBOARD POWERED SERIES, IS A DAY BOAT DREAM FOR PERFORMANCE ENTHUSIASTS

BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE

Hyped as among the most exalted makers of large yet still owner pilotable vessels, and with a fresh focus on the American market, Azimut now presents its Verve 47 as much a performer as it is a looker, and boldly dubbed by its company as “the ultimate boating machine.” The largest yacht in the Verve series, it’s powered by four new 450 horsepower Mercury 450Rs and offers a top speed of an amazing 50 knots. Put simply, this yacht is pure adrenaline. The clean and double stepped hull is designed by Michael Peters, and features a classic deep V with two steps and a central stern tunnel offering stability even in steep high speed turns. A versatile and remarkable design for the helm station includes three seats on centreline and a nearby U shaped foredeck lounge accessible from the portside deck. There are oversized side windows at the helm station, too an exclusive interior feature conceived by former Azimut Benetti designer, Francesco Struglia extending the captain’s line of vision to close to 360 degrees.
