It might have something to do with either the superiority of summer or our desperate need to hold onto all that warmth all year long, but coastal home décor just never seems to go out of style. Inspired by organic colors and textures, that airy feel captured by a modern nautical flair always conjures up happy thoughts. And with a little help from interior designers like Charlie Hesse, any home can be transformed into a private beach haven by adding small, thoughtful touches.

Hesse, who owns Saltwater House, a bespoke home and lifestyle boutique in Bay Head, advises to err on the side of caution: “The cool beach aesthetic can be hard to achieve without going too obviously beachy. Moderation is the key. I love working with a neutral color scheme and incorporating lots of texture. The soft linen on a sofa, the delicate fringe on a pillow, a bleached teak coffee table, or the natural coco beads in a chandelier can complement each other in a space to create a beautiful beach aesthetic. Add finishing touches like a pop of color with decorative pillows or a throw blanket to really bring the space to life.” Saltwater House, 76 Bridge Ave, Bay Head

It’s probably safe to say that this year, unlike many in the past, we are all crawling out of hibernation, more ready than ever to hit the outdoors, whether it’s basking in the sun by the ocean or attending a social soirée. For an appearance that says, “We crushed the Peloton more than we did sugary snacks!” meet this magic-making, two in one treatment: body sculpting, aka Madero massage with vacuum cupping therapy. Trending hard at Side Door Lounge, the wood therapy (Maderoterapia) partners with vacuum therapy treatment to target problem areas of the body like the stomach, back, arms, and bottom. As the spa’s owner Vanessa pointed out, the treatment includes “the famous Brazilian butt lift, all non-surgical with no downtime.”

Progress Capital SPREAD

For more drastic all-around transformations, Vanessa recommended opting for additional multi-stage treatments like a hydra facial, reiki, and airbrush tan.

There is certainly a plethora of devices and creams on the market that promise to lead wearers to the fountain of youth, but we know it’s best to lean on the beauty and skincare experts to recommend the absolute gold star of brightening, tightening, and age-reversing treatments for optimum results. Dr Manolis Manolakakis, one of our go-to board-certified cosmetic and reconstructive facial surgeons, has the scoop on the hottest procedure de rigueur. “My Ellevate is a minimally invasive suture suspension system that is a great alternative to a neck lift with minimal downtime. This can be combined with skin tightening to give facelift-like results with leaving almost no footprint that I was there.” Performed with the ICLED light guided system, this innovative procedure is said to offer long lasting results.
