LOUIS VUITTON’S SOON-TO-OPEN, FIRST-EVER HOTEL PROMISES A PARISIAN PLAYGROUND WHERE COUTURE COLLIDES WITH ESCAPISM. THINK BOLD DESIGN, IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES, AND A STAY DRENCHED IN PURE MAISON MAGIC

BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE

Long before the French fashion brand became synonymous with global luxury, the young Monsieur Vuitton was a 16-year-old trunk-maker in the 1830s, trekking across Paris with his creations in tow, dreaming of distant destinations. Nearly two centuries later, that spirit of adventure still drives the house of Vuitton, evident in its vibrant fashion and lifestyle collections and jaw-dropping collabs. The brand’s latest stunner? Its first-ever luxury hotel concept, set in its former Art Nouveau headquarters in Paris, is scheduled to open next year.

Details about the hotel’s accommodations and amenities are still largely under wraps, but subtlety often escapes the mega-maison, and to ramp up excitement ahead of the hotel’s grand opening (and hide the renovations underway), LV cloaked the construction site in spectacle. A temporary facade mimics a signature, silver-toned Vuitton trunk, an ode to the 16-year-old dreamer who would go on to build a luxury empire.
