A GLORIOUS CONFLUENCE OF BLUE AND BLACK, ROLEX’S LATEST GMT MASTER IS A TRIBUTE TO A FAVORITE DC COMICS HERO

BY ARCHANA AITHAL ROSE

Earning the cheeky moniker “Batman” for its distinctive blue and black ceramic bezel colors long associated with “The Dark Knight” Rolex’s GMT Master is a sleek iteration of its well known BLNR model. Within its meaty but compact 40mm steel case is a striking black dial, blue sweep seconds hand, and bi color ceramic bezel. (Black, incidentally, signifies nocturnal hours, with blue referencing daytime.) Fitted with a calibre 3285 movement, the chronometer boasts a 70 hour power reserve as well as a new variable inertia balance wheel. It’s fitted with a flexible stainless steel five link jubilee bracelet that lends a sporty edge to its cross media appeal.
