WITH NEW RULES IN PLACE THAT PUT SAFETY FIRST, THIS HIGH FASHION SPECIAL OCCASION BOUTIQUE IS AGAIN HELPING CLIENTS PREPARE FOR THEIR BIG EVENTS

BY KIMBERLY GAMBALE

They’ve been quite busy since reopening our doors to eager customers in June. The energy has been upbeat as people have had a positive outlook and are holding onto hope that their events will take place as planned. People are still planning for weddings, though those may not be as big.

My mother Diane, our founder, along with my sister Christina and I have put new rules in place to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. All visits must be arranged by prior telephone appointment and are timed at 55 minutes to ensure sufficient time to sanitize and disinfect rooms and gowns between appointments. Female clients are allowed one additional guest. Those trying on dresses and gowns must bring their own shapewear and shoes. Everyone entering the store must wear a mask.

Additionally, we are working around the clock with our manufacturers to get all special orders in before event dates. During the time we were closed through the quarantine period, we continued to work diligently with designers to make fall dresses. We always worked with U.S. designers before, but we have increased focus in this arena to prevent holdups or complications with shipping. We think that is important to our customers now.

We designed an all new collection with Juan Carlos Pinera, a top designer that offers more couture, dramatic, and custom pieces, as well as Ideas by Barbara, known for producing quality, traditional mother of the bride/groom styles with modern flair. Our couture gowns, cocktail dresses, mother of/evening, social occasion styles, pageant, and prom designs can be tailored and customized to each client’s needs and body type.

Other popular topline brands we carry include Sherri Hill, Mac Duggal, Rachel Allan, and Stephen Yearick, along with exclusive one of a kind designs. With almost 50 years’ experience, Diane & Co. is prepared on all fronts to offer our discerning clientele the ultimate in service and expertise, and we are committed to providing a positive experience to every customer.

Cellini Spread

Normally at this time of year, we’d already be working on spring fashion for next year but are instead seeing customers focused on fall into December 2020. Metallics are a popular choice for fall, along with brocade and three dimensional flowers. All white is a trending wedding choice we’re seeing more of, with mom in ivory or navy blue. Mothers of the bride or groom want to cover their shoulders, but not with long sleeves, so capes and ruffled sleeves are very much in demand.

In addition to our vast selection and experienced, highly trained staff, what makes our store so unique is the desire to fulfill each and every one of our clients’ fashion visions. We won’t stop until we find each client the ideal dress!
