INDUSTRY: How did you get started modeling? VOLHA SIAMASHKA: I entered the modeling industry at the age of 11. Since then, modeling has been not only my profession, but also my education, my business, and my responsibility. Over the years, I’ve built a multifaceted career within the fashion industry, working as a professional model, runway coach, scout, teacher, show producer, and agency collaborator. I’ve worked with children, teenagers, adults, and mature models both beginners and established professionals. I’ve witnessed careers begin, evolve, restart, and sometimes come to an end. This long-term experience has given me a deep, realistic understanding of the fashion industry from every angle. My international modeling career accelerated after earning 2nd Runner-Up at Miss European Universe. Following the competition, my presence in the industry grew rapidly, leading to runway appearances at New York Fashion Week and collaborations with internationally recognized designers. I’ve since been featured on multiple Times Square billboards and appeared on numerous international magazine covers and editorial features worldwide. My strong runway presence and distinctive look have led to ongoing collaborations with fashion and swimwear brands, as well as repeated invitations to walk at Miami Swim Week and major shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami often without the need for castings. Driven, dynamic, and constantly evolving, I continue to build a strong global presence while expanding my work not only as a model, but also as a mentor and industry professional. My goal is longevity, meaningful impact, and inspiring confidence across generations within the fashion world.
IM: Tell us about some gigs you’ve done. VS: I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of internationally recognized designers and fashion brands, including Giannina Azar, FIMI Couture, Black Tape Project, Lila Nikole, Nanalola Couture, Eva Mejl, Passarelas, and Bikini Beach Australia, and others. My work includes runway shows at major fashion events such as New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week, as well as editorial shoots and brand campaigns. I’ve also collaborated with global brands like Karl Lagerfeld and MICAS, and I currently serve as a brand ambassador for Colgate. Winning the Maxim CoverGirl/Next CoverGirl competition opened doors to new international opportunities and high-visibility projects, further expanding my experience across runway, editorial, and commercial work.
IM: What is your favorite thing about the winter season? VS: Living in Florida, winter is the only time we experience slightly cooler weather, and I truly love it. When temperatures drop just a bit, I enjoy wearing stylish blazers with jeans or cozy athleisure sets with warm lining pieces that simply aren’t comfortable to wear during the rest of the year. It makes winter feel special and gives fashion a fresh, seasonal meaning.
IM: Does your background influence your look? VS: Absolutely. My background strongly influences both my look and the way I carry myself. I love wearing heels, and I often notice that I subconsciously build my outfits as if I’m preparing for model test days. For a clean look, it might be a simple white top with jeans; for something more editorial, a blazer paired with trousers and a top almost always styled with heels. I move as if I’m walking a runway, and people often compliment my walk. Looking my best is important to me, even if I’m just going to the store to buy fruit. It’s not about being dressed up – it’s part of my culture, discipline, and respect for myself and my profession.
IM: Where are you currently living? VS: Sarasota, Florida.
IM: Tell us about your career. VS: In Europe, I founded and lead my own modeling school and agency dedicated to models aged 50+. It’s a project very close to my heart. Through this platform, hundreds of models have gained confidence, professional skills, public recognition, and real success in the industry. Seeing people rediscover themselves, build visibility, and step into fashion later in life has been incredibly rewarding. I’m proud to have created and grown a project that challenges age stereotypes and proves that style, presence, and ambition have no expiration date.
IM: What do you hope for your future? VS: I hope to continue building a future rooted in growth, longevity, and meaningful impact. I want to evolve not only as a model, but also as a mentor and industry professional, creating space for confidence, self-expression, and opportunity across generations. For me, success is not just visibility, but purpose and lasting influence.
