During a live Emily in Paris cast chat at Paleyfest, loads of fun tidbits about the upcoming season were shared!

• Expect Emily (Lily Collins) to continue to have a complicated love life in the popular Netflix show. Lucien Laviscount, who plays her current romantic interest, Alfie, will be back and is now a series regular

• When asked about the romantic advice she’d give Emily in the upcoming season, Collins cited the advice that BFF Mindy (Ashley Park) gives her in the season two finale: to stop thinking about life in terms of what she “should” be doing.

• “What do you want to do, what is it you want, not what other people want you to do?” Collins said. “It’s something that actually, I, myself, find myself in the same situation like, ‘Oh, I should,’ and I have Mindy’s voice in my head, being like, ‘Stop thinking that way.’ So I’d tell her to get out of her own head.”

One of the biggest shows to ever hit French television is Dix Pour Cent (Call My Agent), which millions of viewers found on Netflix during the pandemic. The comedy series has been so popular, spino versions were created in numerous countries around the world.

Now the United States is getting a UK/English language version with Sundance Now’s original comedy, Ten Percent. The British adaptation of the original hit French series will encore each week on BBC AMERICA.

Ten Per Cent keeps the nuance and storylines of the original Dix Pour Cent, in which the busy staff of a talent agency rush around to keep their A-list of celebrity clients happy, while juggling their own love lives. Just like the French version, the UK series will also feature fun celebrity cameos from Kelly Macdonald, Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, Dominic West, and David Oyelowo.

With ELVIS hitting theaters this June, many turned to his famous ex-wife Priscilla Presley for her take on the biopic’s veracity and portrayal of her former love. The film’s director Baz Luhrmann provided Presley and Jerry Schilling (a member of Presley’s Memphis Mafia) with a private screening, and Presley took to social media to share her approval and enthusiasm for the film.

“This story is about Elvis and Colonel Parker’s relationship,” she said. “It is a true story told brilliantly and creatively that only Baz, in his unique artistic way, could have delivered.”

Presley described actor Austin Butler, who is portraying Elvis on screen, as “outstanding.” “Halfway through the film Jerry and I looked at each other and said ‘WOW! Bravo to him…he knew he had big shoes to fill.’”

She also lauded Tom Hanks’ portrayal of the complicated Colonel Parker. “There were two sides to Colonel; Jerry and I witnessed both.”

More than a decade following Jill Zarin’s departure from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York after its fourth season, executive producer Andy Cohen (Watch What Happens Live) recently announced plans to reboot the popular series with a brand new cast, as well launch a second Legacy series that might feature Zarin and members from the original.
Zarin is, of course, enthusiastic about the possibility of returning to the cast. Posting an assortment of cast photos on Instagram, she said: “Just found some of these and decided to put them together. Big hair, bangs, thinner (lol).. evolution season 1-4. Brings back the most amazing memories. I feel so privileged to be part of a REAL sisterhood. I will always be OG #6.”

She also noted the possibility of writing another book, this time with her daughter, Ally Shapiro.

It’s hard to believe the Emmy-nominated drama, Better Call Saul, is now in its last season. The series’ final six episodes begin July 11.

“In my eyes, this is our most ambitious, surprising, and, yes, heartbreaking season,” acknowledged show runner and executive producer Peter Gould. “Even under incredibly challenging circumstances, the whole Saul team writers, cast, producers, directors, and crew have outdone themselves. I couldn’t be more excited to share what we’ve accomplished together.”

Star Bob Odenkirk describes the series’ final season as “another intense, surprising, very deeply human and complex story.”

Off screen, the veteran actor is grateful to be alive, having survived a recent near death experience. “This past year I had a heart attack and I got so much goodwill from everyone in the industry, so many kind thoughts and notes and mentions,” he said at the Television Critics Press Tour. “And it moved me, it still moves me, and it simply makes me want to be a better person. That’s really where I’m at is to try to live up to that.”
